Great show. These children are wonderful performers. Loved the Kangaroo duo.
Great show. These children are wonderful performers. Loved the Kangaroo duo.
This is the place everyone should go at least once in your life. There are shows of all genres. Ballet jazz comedy plays country symphony. Check out their upstage events.
Attended my daughter's graduation here. Beautiful building BUT although wheelchair accessable it IS NOT wheelchair friendly when it comes to seating. My nephew had to sit in the far back against the wall and was only allowed to have 1 person sit with him. There was only 2 wheelchair pits in the bottom part of the theater even close enough to see stage and that was one on each far outside row. This would be the only critic that I would have against this building but one I hold close to my heart.
Excellent show, we went to see Shen Yun, like we're do every year
They did a great job of putting on a concert with all the necessary cautions for health.
This is a wonderful venue for a concert.there isn't a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are really nice.
Nice place for plays, ballet etc. Starting to look a little long in the tooth though.
Great venue, attended Bill Burr stand up and it was great.
We saw the final performance of this season of the Gainesville Orchestra under direction of Evans Haille. This is a real treasure for our community. The performance included professional soloists who who perform all over the world. We will have season tickets once again. Bravo!
This is a wonderful place, where there are outstanding concerts, plays, and other cultural events presented to Gainesville. All very high quality offerings, far more impressive than what one would expect in a college town.
Great shows that are put on by both the local students, community, as well as out of town acts.
Beautiful theater! I just wish they had a vending machine for water even if it's not allowed inside.
We had an awesome time. The staff was awesome and very Pleasant.
Beautiful theater that offers something for everyone. Unfortunately, for those not so privileged, they will not be able to enjoy the experience of a diverse culture. For a family of two tickets can cost $150+. Most families have at a minimum of 3. There should be some type of way for lower income families and their children to experience theater. We normally head to the Florida theater in Jacksonville as they'll offer X amount of tickets at a lower price for various events. Which, for a family of 4, we can enjoy dinner, travel, and the experience for around $200. I love Gainesville. It's my home town. But we do not offer access to culture for all. And that is wrong.
Beautiful theater with some really great shows. Prices are usually very fair and it's always a good experience. Highly recommend! UF students also get $10 tickets here for any seats.
Well designed performance venue, accessible and comfortable. Variety of program offered, and good acoustics and visibility. Parking nearby in garage at no cost.
It's very beautiful and the seating was very comfortable a little bit too close together but very comfortable
Excellent Entertainment of all kinds. Great atmosphere. Great decor.
My niece graduated had a wonderful time there are so proud of her love this place cuz I have great memories my mom my girl and my niece everyone's there for a graduate
Boycott this place for allowing Richard Spencer to speak here. He is filled with hate and is a Neo-Nazi white supremacist. I believe in free speech but there is a difference between allowing someone to speak about their values and opinions versus spur hate and division. BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT
Eight of us saw The Broadway Musical Pippin (2-19-17)
The Curtis M. Philips Center is an impressive building with picturesque
grounds, ample free parking and a short walk into the center.
The play, Pippin, was delightful to say the least. Colorful, up-beat, talented performers who kept us entertained the entire time.
My personal favorite was Pippin's grandmother but the entire cast
deserve kudos.
Awesome...including the heart-warming message that prevailed in the story.
We had a religious meeting there, and the experience was wonderful. The facility added to the experience.
Small theatre with good seating, questionable acoustics or a technical issue the night we saw Book of Mormon. It was hard to hear some dialogue, but may have been due to other factors.
We had a swell time. Great seats front area on floor level. Everyone was having a good time. Production was a RIOT. Great show.
Very nice performance. Lots of effort to keep everyone socially distanced and safe.
Comfortable seating, good stage visibility even from far back. However, lack of handicap accessibility and cramped waiting area before shows.
Beautiful facility that hosts many shows during the year, including Broadway theatre shows, and musicals, dance shows, comedy shows, and symphonies performances. UF students receive discounted tickets to watch those amazing national shows.
It's always a pleasure to attend events in such a gorgeous building and friendly atmosphere.
Clean and everything thing was great worker very friendly
Great shows. Good acoustics. Comfy seats. Easy parking.
We saw the nutcracker and it was wonderful The set was fabulous and the costumes were anazing.
Beautiful hall, spacious stage and backstage area. Great dressing rooms, solid lighting and sound, and amazing staff. This is a top-notch venue that can handle all manner of performing groups, large and small.
The Up Stage venue was amazing. Very intimate and unique. Get there early to enjoy the appetizers and get good seating.
A clean and pristine place when I visited for a performance with good employees too.
I really enjoyed the presentation of the Sound of Music. However, at the ending there were three (3) beautifully illustrated Swastikas were displayed. I found that to have been very offensive to me; the scene could have be done just as effectively without them. It seemed as though Nazi Symbolism was being celebrated. Therefore, I DO NOT plan to attend the Sound of Music again.
Great venue with nice seating and accessible parking. It's a small enough area that it keeps the performance cozy.
Plenty of great shows for cheap especially to students of UF
I took my mom to see The Nutracker Ballet, she loved it. I was a bit disappointed though, they ran out of bottled water to purchase and my mother cannot have sodas.
Great venue! I ve been here for plays, voting, musical, etc and highly recommend for dates!
Handicapped seating is available, but if you happen to be wheelchair bound you will be sitting in the very back of the auditorium.
Went with family to see Book of Mormon here. Love the venue. We were up high in the E section box seats though and do not recommend this section for shows with dialogue as the music overpowers the vocals. I found it difficult to understand the words when the music was playing. I m not going to discount the fact that my hearing may be going but my group of four also had trouble making out the words.
Great concerts, I always follow their schedule. They have a very diverse program with prices very accessible, usually 10 bucks for students
Beautiful well maintained facility, with a courteous and friendly staff. Entertainment from small acoustic acts to large national tours and even Ted talks and smaller more intamate conversations.
Great local venue for students and visitors alike. Often has great comedy acts and the occasional drag show.
It provides bunch of opportunities not only for students in UF but also for kids and residents to get involved in high level performing arts.
This was a visit for Easter service. It was easy to find and there was enough parking for the event.
Went to the Wiz showing. The show was great, but this location could use more bathrooms.
Hands down the best presenting team in the performing arts world. An incredible theater, lovingly run.
