It is the largest bookstore in Nancy. I love going there. There are books of all kinds. And if you're looking for something specific or need advice, the staff is always caring, competent and smiling.
There is even a little stationery too.

Le Hall du livre is an atypical bookstore in Nancy. The old and modern architecture merge inside the building. The old stone slabs still pave the heart of the building.
On its three floors, plus the basement, the bookstore offers a very varied choice of books in all genres: French or foreign novels, cooking, travel, art books, comics, manga, for children, schools, essays, philosophy, science, history, personal development, books in other languages ... If you are looking for a specific book, this is where you will find it.
It also includes a very complete press area at the entrance!
The staff are very pleasant and professional.

There is something for all tastes and on each floor, competent people to inform us or better: to guide us. We have the right to sit on a bench to read a little (or the edge of the steps of the stone stairs). Everything is dedicated to the pleasure of reading. This is not a store like any other, nor a bookstore. It is a place where lovers of reading of all ages meet.

A must-read book in Nancy. Four floors that go from the press (French and international) on the ground floor to books on Art on the last ... (we go through literature, pockets, thrillers, poetry, theater, comics and manga, human sciences, youth, education-competition, ...)

A bookstore, which almost disappeared! Fortunately this has not been the case. Joy always equal to wander in this place, to browse among the books. We could spend hours there. The advice of the staff is informed and offered with sympathy. The small cards accompanying some books allow you to take advantage of bookstores favorites and guide us in our choices. If you do not know what to give, give a book and meet your bookseller. It's so much better than the Internet!

Anyone who likes to read and is looking for a book should come to the Book Hall.
Exceptional choice, all themes are present. And, the icing on the cake, the friendly staff know where to find the book you want to get, this among the hundreds (maybe a few miles) of books present.

The place is magical, Hogwarts must have been imagined after a visit to the Hall of the Book. Employees always in a good mood with good advice.

The sellers are not friendly. No advice for reading my 8 year old son. Obviously we are disturbing. It should come as no surprise that we are buying from Amazon.

You can find almost everything you are looking for! And even what we are not looking for . The bookstore is well organized and it is not difficult to find the book you are looking for. And when we can't find the staff are friendly and accompany us. The only downside is the waiting at the cash desk and the friendliness of the cashiers!
