Went to the #AsianLanternFestival at the @centralfloridazoo and it was Ah-May-Zing! The intricate designs of the lanterns were just beyond words From butterflies to meerkats to komodo dragons to an actual over 50 foot dragon...to koi fish and swans and flamingoes and all sorts of flowers... Man it was beyond!
Had a great time with my grandson, wish they had a few more animals.
Not big but nice zoo, given 4 stars because we stoped at Sonny s BbQ place there to get some food for kids and it looked like a joke when we got 2 small chicken fingers for kids meal $8
Kids enjoyed it. food was horrible thou suggest you eat befor going here
Not worth the money , came on a Monday and zoo looks like a ghost town. Hardly any animals , and the ones there are sleeping most of the time . Is not fair paying full admission when half the park is closed .
Super small and overpriced......go to Tampa's zoo it was may more to offer for the price and its bigger. I went here and it seemed really tiny. The animals were barely interacting and they looked quite depressed. They were not very active and didn't move much and certain exhibits in the zoo had animals in small spaces. I did enjoy the leopards and the iguanas though but that's pretty much it. I like the fact that they seem to be taking good care and make sure the animals are in good health like Tampa's zoo but when it comes to environment i feel bad for the animal's. But the service was good much like Tampa's zoo. So i will give it 2 stars.
The price here (its not even in Orlando)
Adults:$19.50
Seniors 60+:$15.95
Tampa
Single-day admission is
$29.95 (adult)
$22.95 (child 3-11),
The lowest price tickets are available online for $27.95 adult and $20.95 child.
This place should pay me to go. The best part is the entrance which actually looks like you're entering a cool place. Zoo itself resembles more of a low budget animal shelter. Spend a little more money and head to Disney's animal kingdom. You'll at least feel you got your monies worth.
Needs to make it more entertaining. It feels like it's been neglected. An upgrade would be nice. Oh and shade shade shade. That sun was no joke. I love watching the animals but they should bring in more of each kind so they won't look so lonely. Just my opinion.
Always fun. The Asian lantern festival is beautiful!! Petting zoo, feed goats, Lana's, giraffes. Water ball and bunker on the weekends. Splash pad in the summer.
Not really a zoo and certainly not a botanical garden. Went for a 5 year old's birthday party. Too many distractions for little ones. They only wanted to play in the 'park' and not look at the animals. Which were few and far between. Nice little train ride, but the wait was long. Same with the little Merry-Go-Round. Go someplace else. Find a real zoo if you want to see animals.
Had fun with the kids but most of the animals were asleep or not moving much.
This is a fun time for family. A good place to get out and usually not too crowded. The new bear exhibit is nice.
We had a great day. Our toddlers enjoyed the playground. I liked the new healthier cold treat options, especially for the kids. Currently under some renovations.
