5 * for service, respect for covid rules, the flexibility they showed with us and with our 7-year-old twins, friendliness, the professionalism of those at the reception helped us to solve the problem of buying tickets and finally the fabulous space which is the home of music. 3 * for so much and so bare and already so dirty wall.

Second time that we come and we still adore Mozart, Schubert, the rooms are very pleasant and soundproof. Downside regarding the shower door and the fruit juice, but we recommend the very good restaurant.

The music hall is beautiful and the building is brilliant. They have free rehearsals you can attend most Fridays at 10am. It's a great way to hear wonderful music for free on a regular basis. They also have free performances by less traditional artists in the evening.
For the size, it's a smaller capacity than I would have expected from the building, but I've never seen it full.
The cafe is bright and clean of often bustling. They offer a variety of options, even vegetarian/vegan options, at reasonable prices.

The brute, facetted exterior imposes itself majestically along the Avenida da Boavista leading into the city centre. The interior is bauhaus-esque, with the minimalist style suitably focusing the audience's attention onto the concert stage. The tour guides are well informed and carefully explain the history of the building, which also encapsulates the evolution of female cellists. Tour groups are invited to walk along the wall of sound backstage, to appreciate the full ensemble of the orchestra. Further practical examples are demonstrated to understand the workings of the acoustics within the auditorium. Well worth a visit.

National musical space of reference. Built at the beginning of the century with bold architectural lines. The main room "Room Sugia" has a minimalist but very beautiful decoration. The materials used in the construction of the stairs were not the best choice. Stainless steel becomes very dangerous. Without doubt it is a place to visit and enjoy

Very well designed building for a concert hall. It was designed by the Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. Its construction cost 100 million euros. The design of the building has been highly acclaimed worldwide. The Orquestra Nacional do Porto, Orquestra Barroca and Remix Ensemble are based here.

If you are an architect, a fan of Rem Koolhaas or you have an interest in architecture and acoustics, the guided tour is ideal for you, the guides are very well aware of the operation and design process of the building, each space is very different from the previous one and they are all very well thought out, the guided tour is 1 hour, but there are concerts that day you can enter the main hall, if they have a concert they do not allow you to pass which is a shame for being the main space of the project, the price is About 6 euros if you are a student.
