Ah Carmen's! I love you so. Go for the fall gelati on a cold day. Its a slice of pie (or brownie etc) inside a thing of custard. Heaven. Ice flavors are generally good but I've had a few bland ones. Get recommendations, the people behind the counter are super friendly and give samples. Small soda selection including the delish Hawaiian Waialua soda works.

I didnt know this place existed, until a little while ago. And lets just say everything is perfect except that they only have flavors temporarily. I came back a few days later for a custard I tried. The flavor was gone!!!

We got chocolate and vanilla. Quick in and out. Friendly staff and it tastes decent and smooth.

I get water ice here a few times a week and am never disappointed! Always friendly staff, sometimes crowded but the line moves fast.

Recently moved to the area and tried Carmen s for the first time yesterday. Line was out the door but the homemade Italian ice and custard was well worth the wait! Tons of flavors to choose from and the best custard I ve ever had!

Amazing new Ice Flavor Mango Bango. But they have the best Frozen Custard. Wonder place with local charm. It's so good to not have a bug chain store feeling.

The Italian Icees and other flavors are so delicious, I believe I've tasted all them. Their prices are awesome. It is such a special place to me when I want an Icee. Staff is great. I give Carmen a 10+

I like Carmens. It s an excellent local place, off Nelson Street, just to chill out and relax and enjoy an ice cream. Yesterday, with a friend, I enjoyed a large chocolate custard poured in a waffle cone. The custard lasted for twenty minutes of delicious eating before it started to melt. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I went to get hot chocolate this morning. I asked the Spanish lady Do you have Hot Chocolate? She replied back to me (What do you want?) with her nasty attitude and her face not friendly at all. If you want to work with service job please change your attitude.

Very nice Italian ice. Mango is the family favorite. One of our group got the blue raspberry and was not happy with the taste at all (cotton candy?) and I returned it for a free replacement. That was nice of them. I plan to come back to try the gelati but they have plenty of ice flavors to try.

The very best!! Delicious frozen custard and Italian Ices and such a great variety of ways to eat them. I dream about the Root Beer Freeze. Staff is super friendly. Often take kid to the playground across the street and then for a treat!

Wow, Carmen is a lucky gal. She makes amazing Italian Ice. I can't believe the variety of flavor. Kosher Italian Ice, Sugar Free? Wow, my mind was blown. The history is rich too, they have been a staple in the Rockville community for over 15 years. I'm proud to have been part of this summer time tradition.

Honestly the only thing I have gotten here is the Gelati. The custard is a perfect consistency and the ice is very ice-like. The flavors that I have tried are all great and taste like what they are called (except for some like the flavor "zombie"). I could buy these everyday and be excited and satisfied. There are rotating flavors, so there is almost always a new flavor to try. You can always ask for a test. There is also the name board which, if your name is on there (changes every day), you get a free small gelati. Another awesome program they have is Jayden day which cuts the costs of gelatis on the 8th of each month. Can't recommend highly enough.

The gelati and Italian ice there are good. The space is small so this place wouldn't be ideal for larger groups. I've been going to this place for a long time and it's good that they haven't changed the quality of their products but it would be good to see their facilities updated.

Ordered delivery. I got the cookie dough gelato and a cinnamon sugar pretzel which I had been craving.

The cookie dough gelato was really good but i couldn t finish it because it was a bit too sweet.

The cinnamon sugar pretzel was disgusting. It was hard and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge with other foods for atleast a few days. For a 4 Star place that pretzel was TRASH. Wouldn t order from them again because I can t trust the freshness of their products.

Open all year for Gelatis... All home made Italian ice and custard. VERY GOOD!

Carmen's is the best ice cream parlor in the area. They offer a variety of custard, Italian ice and seasonal delights. There was something for everyone, even those who are lactose intolerant.

They were AMAZING when my friend's daughter went missing, opening up at all hours and serving as a headquarters for the search. A community gem that truly is a heart of Rockville.

This place absolutely rocks! Volunteered with an NJROTC unit field day in the park across the street and hopped over after because it was highly recommended. It definitely didn't disappoint, happened to be the start of founders weekend too so we got half off and I spent less than $2 on a medium gelati. It's a shame I live so far away!

Classic New Jersey style Gelati shop, with a classic atmosphere, innovative italian ice and custard recipes, and an ever evolving rtoatation of specials. This is a wonderful local favorite of a dessert shop, and a personal favorite.

The Italian ice has good but not as tasty as Rita's " slightly watered down ". But the custard was very good better than Rita's. They have churro that I want to try next time. If your ever in the Rockville area its definitely worth a try.

The cookie dough gelato is my favorite. Great and friendly staff. Nice interior. Always busy, but understandable.

The Ice cream is good and it s always packed. In terms of customer service, not so well.
There was a girl working today (should ve gotten her name but I was in a rush) was rude.

I understand that employees are under pressure when there s a lot of people but it s on management to teach their team how to remain calm in such circumstances.

I purchased some gelatis and and meant to buy a couple tubs of Italian ice to go, when I went to the register, to pay for them, I asked one of the guys working to ring me up, and the girl working, interrupted very rudely told me that I had to the line, AGAIN. If I had already made the line and just needed it to ring up some tubs of ice cream, that wasn t necessary... The guy even gave her a look, after that I had no desire to buy anything anymore and just left.

Once again I wasn't let down, but I always order the same gelato. I can say they're consistent and I used to think, pricey. But after having gone to other places for gelatos and frozen yogurt, I can say the prices here are fairly reasonable.

The best gelati's in town and truly awesome experinece..only drawback is the crowded experience!
