Capital 8 Theatre Review

I love this place so much!! I hope I can get a job here!!!

Been going GQT Capital 8 theaters for good while now and I always have a wonderful time there

The movies are really great, the place is clean and kept pretty good.

Good theater. Only one in Jefferson City. They do good on updating it and keeping it nice. The staff are nice and they play the new movies. They also do "Flashback Cinema", which plays older blockbusters, which is really nice!

Always friendly and helpful. Had my tickets in less than five minutes on opening night!

I almost always enjoy my visits to the movies. Always clean. Always fresh.

This is a very nice theater, which I am happy to say, now has upgraded, comfy seats! I believe this is the only theater in Jeff City and for the most part, it is a good one.

The young people that work there, try hard to be friendly and polite, the restrooms are very clean as is the theater itself. The sound systems are good and there are cheap, cheap prices on the popcorn refills.
The tickets are the same price as the ones in SoCal, but there is a child rate, a senior rate and an early bird rate...check it out online.

One of the most important things is that it is disabled friendly..I have been in many places in Missouri that are not. All in all, a good place to spend the afternoon.

Place needs renovating, popcorn was solid as was the staff with one exception. A female manager who was training new employees loudy focused on how each employee could and would be terminated if they leave their station, or overuse their rewards program. She said "I'm not afraid to terminate anyone, and that includes you. I've already fired three people and I have no problem firing more." My questions are why are you focusing on what will get employees fired instead of cutomer experience, and why are you seemingly bragging about this loud enough for guests to hear? A movie theatre should be a fun place to work, where employes get to share their love for movies with guests. Nobody should come to work worrying about every little thing so they don't get fired. Also these were new employees and you likely sucked the excitement right out of them. I saw the Mission Impossible movie on 8/11 at 3:10. Again popcorn was solid, and the staff that helped me was fantastic.

Have been going to this theater since I was a child (probably since its really the only one in Jefferson City) but it always brings a sense of comfort when I go. It truly is my favorite place to go an enjoy a movie.

The staff are great and seats are comfy. I appreciate the loyalty program.

Excellent staff and venue! I've gone here for nearly 4 years and each experience has been par or better. This last time I had lost my wallet and the management staff was more than helpful finding it with us just 5min. before the next show.

I recommend this theater and hope it thrives in this small city.

It's cool you can hang in the lobby while waiting for your movie and just play air hockey it's pretty cool and theater is extremely clean and nice

the movie theater is nice & clean but the snacks are a little bit pricey & im allergic to most of the snacks .

Good movie

My father and I went to go see Dolittle and everyone was great. Popcorn was delicious and fresh and the drinks were always filled. The staff were helpful and courteous. My only complaint is the theatre needs to be more handicap friendly. I can only park my wheelchair all the way in the back of the theatre and the bathrooms are impossible to navigate in a wheelchair, especially if there are people in there. They really need a family bathroom. Especially if your handicap and need assistance.

Their recent improvements have made going to the movies a pleasant experience. Still pricey but I guess that's normal.

About half the time I try to see a movie here there is one issue or another that makes seeing said movie inconvenient or impossible. I'm not sure how this can be true so often, but they need to pull it together.

Comfortable seating, but not really what I would call a high class theater. In other words, it gets the job done.

They have finally been remodeling this place after putting it in when I was a young child. It needed the updates very much, now they just need to do the bathrooms.

Nice theatre. Staff is helpful. Popcorn has always been fresh. Theatres are always clean.

Arrived very short time before the showtime, the staff seen us arriving and hurried over to assist. Had very good I formation about the movie we wanted to see as varies ages were represented. Concession staff friendly with youngsters. Everyone loved Christopher Robin as suggested very enjoyable experience. We especially appreciate the weekly free show also. Thank you!!

Understand you can't tell people how to raise their own kids, but a rule not allowing anyone under the age of 10 into R rated movies would be nice. Baby crying, 5 year old talking the whole movie, another kicking the seat. Staff was nonexistent. Got a free popcorn and soda out of it. Weeeeee.

Very comfortable, a great student discount, and usually a good mix of movies. A good theater for sure, but when anticipated blockbusters come out, they'll easily take up three screens. Some movies get bumped after a week because of this.

Pretty good staff and the seats are comfortable. Pretty high on popcorn and snacks but most movie theaters are.

It's a nice place to go see a movie. I love that they bring back some of my favorite movies and put them on the big screen. The people who work there are friendly and helpful.

Good prices. Great popcorn. Definitely get their app. Average cleanliness of a theater. Friendly staff. Comfortable seats.

Nice theater that is constantly being updated. Screen quality is good and the FMG card is a nice little perk.

Definitely doesn't compare to some of the bigger cities, but this is all we have here in Jefferson City. Not to thrilled with cleanliness and have had several occasions where picture and/or sound were not up to par.

They really try to keep the theater nice and Clean!!! I would love to see the Food area upgraded!!!

The remodel went well for the movie theater it made the place more modern makes watching movies enjoyable

Great theater. Auditoriums and bathrooms have always been clean during my visits.

Saw lights out with my second cousin, I'm from Chicago, and we're used to those seats where you press up and down and you stretch your legs, so it was tad bit different, popcorn was delicious, staff was friendly, and overall, it was a really nice theater, definitely something to do while visiting Jefferson City

Went to the 1500 showing of Glass with the family. Small mix up at the ticket counter and received tickets for the Upside which we already viewed. Didn t realize it until the movie started.

Walked out and talked to the manager. She was, polite, understanding and professional. Exchanged our tickets for a later showing with no hassle.

Yes, it s an older theatre but always have a good experience with the staff being friendly.
