Bonanza Steakhouse Review

Usually always have to send steak back ,not cooked as requested then you can't hardly eat it cause it is so tough you can't chew it. Usually stuff is empty or has been sitting for hours

Prices have really gone up but still the same quality.

This is the second one I've been to. Each one is a little different in their own ways. This one has more dishes that are spicy. Spicy shrimp and spicy fish spicy chicken. There dessert options are different as well. I expected more for what I paid for lunch.

Service was slow and there were alot of empty places on buffet.

Food is not what it was. Service was great and very clean place.

I like it here cause I can have variety it could be better but its pretty good

Great food and service. We go a couple of times a month. I just wish they had more low sugar desserts for diabetics like a variety of fresh fruits.

I ate from the buffet bar and everything I had was fresh. Decent selection of food available. Salad bar and dessert bar had a variety of offerings. Wait staff was attentive.

It was kinda busy so there was a Lil bit of a wait on drinks and things but the food was decent.

Great service, decent food as far as a buffet goes.

Good atmosphere, good food, great service! We had a group of 20 and the drink service was phenomenal and the buffet never ran out of food.

Service was slow and food wasn't cooked right when we visited recently. However the manager/owners were there and they gave us our food for free and a gift card for $60 so can't complain. When we used the gift card on our next visit the food was great and so was the food!

Food was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and friendly.

Unusual to see shrimp on a buffet. They had butterfly shrimp and spicy popcorn shrimp. Both were quite flavorful. Three soups and a decent salad selection. A separate hot bar with chicken, meatloaf and kielbasa. Mashed potatoes were instant; which was a disappointment. Overall, a good buffet that they kept fresh. Good flavor to everything. Several sweet choices; including cookies, brownies, pies, and cake. Ice cream was also available. Had a moist brownie and a dish of ice cream.

Food was good, have raised prices. To expensive to now eat there.

Friendly atmosphere. Great service. Very good selection from the average Americans kitchen. Delicious main dishes, selections of vegetables, pizza, salad and dessert bar.

Food was better than last time. My waitress was super. She was pleasant and very helpful.

They have a wide variety of food on their buffet tables & it never disappoints.

Clean place, friendly, courteous and helpful staff, excellent food.

Great server. The steak was actually full of flavor and was on our table in record time. Reason was, it was almost raw. Sent both back, second time a charm. Done perfectly with juices retained. Good job Ponderosa.

Good service and price is affordable and good food and had a wonderful day with my husband. Thank you

Food was not hot and tasted bland .staff were excellent an service was excellent but overall as hot bar was not that good 2 stars for food 5 stars for staff

Just like every other ponderosa I've eaten at. If you're expecting it then it's not bad. A bunch of bulk, easy to make food that's been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The fried chicken was decent since they had just brought it out.

Very good buffet for a decent price with a good selection of food and different types of desserts to chose from and very friendly service

The staff there literally picked up the desert with their bare hands. One staff was actually picking up the carrot cake with her bare hands, moving it around on the plate and was eating it while she was moving it around

We eat here quite often and the food is usually good. Was really disappointed today. We love the meatloaf and there was none. We did not even see a place for it. The chicken liver was all tiny pieces and there was no ham. We got the last two small pieces. Our waitress was very friendly and came back several times to check on us. Also we used a coupon and the cashier only took of $1.50 for one person and there were two of us on that coupon. The other two adults had a coupon too and same thing, only took off $1.50 for one person. There were six if us all together. 4 adults and two children .We won't be coming back anytime soon. Please bring back the meatloaf. I gave 3 stars and that was because of the very good waitress we had.

It wasn't very good to be honest. My food got cold pretty quick so it must not of been very warm to start with. Definitely was not worth the money it cost to eat a meal their. : (

First time at Ponderosa. I was sceptical about coming here for 3 years. Always heard both good and bad things about this place. But I have to say, its pretty good! More meat options would be great but overall, really good tasting food. I'd definitely choose this place over Golden Corral anyday

Food is always good there and hot and you don't have to wait for food because they always have plenty ahead

Food off the "hot bar" was cold. Everything had obviously been sitting out for a long time. We didn't even finish one plate. Called the manager over & got our money back. I've been there many times & everything has been good. This time just ruined it. We won't be going back.

Ordered 2 salmon with baked potato and a buffet. Sent the 2 salmon back once when we ate it was still not done!!!!

Decent place. Was my first visit to this location. They have a variety of food available and it mostly seemed hot and fresh. Our server unfortunately wasn't great. It took till I was leaving to finally get a refill on soda.

Food did not taste very good. Going down hill in my opinion.

Always love eating here. The food is normally fantastic! Service is great! Prices are very reasonable & senior get a discount. I highly recommend Ponderosa Steakhouse.

The food is delicious and fills you up quickly just like a home cooked mill it may not be mommas cooking but it darn sure is close

Just ok. Veriaty could be better. Ice cream machine was broken.

Worst meal I gave had in a very long time. The food was lukewarm. The servers were messy. (In fact, my sisters plate dripped salad dressing all over the table) The waitress we had was great, but that was the only thing I found even remotely pleasant about this meal. I will never return.
