The pipal tree popularly known as the Bodhi tree where Lord Buddha supposed to got enlightenment under the tree. Buddhists world over visit the place and offer prayers with great religious fervour. The present tree is considered as the fourth generation tree.

Bhogi tree which is back side of temple , we can collect leafs which fell down , people collect those leafs & keep with them for Luck

This tree is very old and a sacred tree located in Bodh Gaya under which a spiritual teacher Siddharta Gautama also known as Buddha is said to have attained his enlightenment here.

The vibration is very subtle, very touching, calm and very difficult to put into words

Meditate and worship Lord Buddha here, Peaceful and Nice place

It is nice.It is historical place. Lots of peaples comes here everyday. parking is on out side . Easy view from road.

The best place in Gaya and most place place because Buddha was born here

If we treat each and every tree as a blissful bodhi tree and refrain to harm them. Then we will achieve peace.

Sitting under this palm tree are the greatest moments of my life. The enlightenment of the Buddha to this enlightenment tree is not normal. When I first went there, a devotee from Siliguri, West Bengal, told me something interesting about this tree. Ashoka cut a branch of the tree and planted a tree for the children of Emperor Ashoka when he went to Sri Lanka to promote Buddhism. Later, when someone destroyed a tree with a blasphemous attack, the devout Buddha brought another branch from the same tree in Sri Lanka and raised it again. His devotion to religion is inimitable. Buddha's life has had a huge impact on my personal life. In the depths of my mind, I have a deep respect for the Buddha, who, despite all that life has to offer, has left everything and gone in search of the light of knowledge overnight.

Most beautiful, peaceful, wonderful and sacred place of the whole Universe. If you are struggling hard with your life, if you are frustrated with your life and you are unable to solve problems just have a visit to Mahabodhi Temple at Bodhgaya, switch off your mobile and sit near the holiest Bodhi Tree or in front of the temple or in the surrounding, close your eyes, concentrate on the teachings of Lord Buddha and wait for the magic. You will be refreshed, you will be a child once again though with a much stronger and healthier mind. Leave everything, go there. You will get the answer.

Buddha, The evidence of the early texts suggests that Siddh rtha Gautama was born into the Shakya clan, a community that was on the periphery, both geographically and culturally, of the eastern Indian subcontinent in the 5th century BCE. It was either a small republic, or an oligarchy, and his father was an elected chieftain, or oligarch. According to the Buddhist tradition, Gautama was born in Lumbini, now in modern-day Nepal, and raised in the Shakya capital of Kapilvastu, which may have been either in what is present day Tilaurakot, Nepal or Piprahwa, India. Wow It's really visitable Holly place.. but one thing I don't like it here is you can't allowed in the temple shown in figure one except bodhi dharam people...you can just click a photo from outside. And I like the Temple and recommend to visit to the Temple shown in figure two. Main Temple is really have big place and Watchable place .

Well maintained large complex. The extra security is due to the attacks that happened couple of years back, but its unobtrusive. You can easily spend a couple of hours inside admiring the various structures and the gardens.
