Blackbeards Cave Review

Is this place still opened? I called to make summer reservations for a large group and hey replied that are not taking reservations for 2019.

Do not want your money here. Very very disappointed. Mini golf was dirty. Water was gross to look at. No one at the kiddie ride section to let kids go on rides. Will not be coming back here again. So so so disappointed.

Has been maintained very poorly. Don't recommend...

One of the best places ive ever been and i cant wait to go back there again.

I grew up going to this place. It was such a fun place to go with the family. Yesterday I went to play minigolf with my husband and sister. The course needs some major improvements. The little kids area was not open, and weeds are running over. Not even the go karts were open. It was sad.

In need of improvement. Place has definitely seen it's best days gone by. Run down and lots of maintenance needed

I loved the go carts but one of the rides got me socked when I had no swim suit or a change of clothes but I was realy so I kept going under the waterfalls. It was so much fun

Pretty Good. We just checked out the arcade and played mini golf. The mini golf was super confusing. There weren't signs at every hole, so it took some time to figure out. We ended up having to skip ahead since it was crowded. I liked the pirate theme though. And the holes were VERY difficult, which might be bad for smaller kids.

It says open but apparently they were close we drove 40 minutes

Kinda run down still good for a good time go karts are defiantly the main thing here and has a restaurant on the property that is ok at best if they would just update the rides and the games this would make a great day trip foe a family bit in the condition the place is in makes for a good couple hours hard to spend a whole day here also there isn't much around this location to do so it's not worth a far drive to goto

Never again. Too expensive for run down rides,some didn't work. The arcade was awful too.

Fun for little kids as well as that little kid in us..... good times

Blackbeard's cave mini golf would benefit from a lot of tlc. The man-made river path that tuns through the place is dried up at most parts. And the sections with water are stagnant and dirty. The signs are all a little bit sunbleached. The clubs are old and feel almost sticky.

As for the course it self. The side bricks are mostly all there. Some crutial bricks are missing, sending some balls flying into bushes. The small fence separating the parking lot from the beginning has old and rotten wood poles holding up dellapitated rope. The cave hole is fun seeing the ball ride the side of the cave. But the cup was full of water, even though it is fully covered. And the later courses plagued with golf balls getting stuck in the courses. And uneven greens making putting a little difficult. Navigation is a bit tricky at times when multiple holes converge. Some painted arrows would help. The prize 20th hole, the 19th hole is a normal hole, has to many folds in the carpet to be exciting. Balls should have enough gravitational force to either fall into the hole or fall off. Golf balls getting stuck halfway down the plank can be a nuisance.

The one staff member in the entrance shack, was nice and helpful. It could be a nice place with some renovations.

Not everything works as of today 7/30/16. Needs either maintenance or replacement for everything. Anyone rating better must either work there or friends with someone working there. My 6 year old loved the Go Karts. If I was given tickets and money specifically for this place, it'd just be for the Go Karts.

This place is no longer in business so kinda stinks was one of the only local places for any one to do anything some what fun around here town is fallin apart :(

What a dump. The nerves they have to charge $8 for a round of miniature golf is unbelievable. The waterfalls were not running so consequently the balls that landed in the water disappeared. A late post had broken glass hanging out of it. And what wood are they did have there was stagnant and filthy. They could have such a gold mine there but boy had they let that place go to heck. Will never return to Blackbeard's

Great for kids. Alot to do in a small are. But expensive

Blackbeard's has seen better days. Wristband nights are reasonably priced but bringing children there is expensive. Each ticket is .75 cents, and most rides are 5 tickets (and up.) Go cart rides are 10 tickets, and $7.50 is expensive, even when you buy a "value pack" of 45 tickets for $30. On many nights most of the rides are not open, and with the exception of the go cart area it is under-staffed. Vending machines are $4 a beverage. Calloway's Eaglewood Amusement Park is a much better choice and worth the short drive down the Parkway. Wristband option is offered anytime.

Really beat up. Could be really fun if it was redone and fixed up

Great time at reasonable rates for young kids go-carts, amusement rides, mini-golf, driving range and arcade.

The mini golf place isnt for people who is above average weight. There is no railings for it. The turf by the beginning of the holes are in bad shape. Needs to be fixed. The cups are raised slightly so the balls dont go in the first time. Things have changed over the years. Needs to be fixed. Thanks

Amazing time here. So much to do and so much fun. Google gets their hours wrong so be sure to check hours on website before going.

When I was at blackbeards cave most of them rides were shut down and the ones that we're open broke down at times and it was a very high price and I had to wait in line for the go carts because that was like the only ride open and most of the things that we're open were mostly games like the balloon throw and the baseball cage and the only rides that we're open were the go carts the bumper cars and the swinging ships.

The woman behind the counter was happy to sell us tickets, but failed to tell us that nearly ALL of the attractions were closed at 8:45, despite the hours listed them being open til 10:30. The batting cages kept eating our coins and the high schoolers running the go carts provided absolutely no instructions on proper use or safety. It was a free for all. Very disappointed, will not return on future vacations.
