Disappointing Lebanese restaurant in Liverpool city centre. My friend and I went in around 1pm. I personally did it because of a chicken deal advertised in one of their frot windows. We sad down by the window, it was freezing cold, so we changed to a different table. By the time we were ready to order, the deal I wanted wasn't available, first disappointment. We ordered two musaka dishes and tap water, mine was a meaty one and my friends was vegetarian. My dish was cold when finally made it to the table and they hadn't even brought the drinks yet. Believe it or not, hers looked way better than mine. Mine lacked of vegetables, which are a must in musaka. The dishes were too greasy and the portions just alright. When they brought my main back, they also brought a portion of pita bread, which I couldn't eat coz I'm celiac, but didn't apologize for it. This is not a celiac friendly place, even though they cater for gluten free. I wouldn't recommend this place. Even though the prices are not bad, to me it's not worth it. There was nothing authentic or pleasant in my visit. Well, yes, my friend.

We've been eating at Bold Street's Bakchich for over 3 years, and it's one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. Top-quality Lebanese food, lively atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and you can see the chefs cooking the food, which is always reassuring. We don't eat red meat, but the chicken is fresh and marinated well, and they always cook it to our pedantic tastes and demands (close to cremated). If you like to booze when you eat, you should be aware they don't sell alcohol, but I have this problem of getting full really quick, so not swigging beer allows me to actually finish my meal.

Recently, we've been ordering take-out food from them using Deliveroo, and the service is generally fast and reliable, and the food hot enough to stay delicious (though we only live half a mile away). One great advantage of the garlic-marinated chicken shish taouk is that it's too strong-tasting for our mithering cat, so we get to eat it in peace, lol. Today, for the first time ever, they made a mistake with our order, and we called them to tell them about the problem, and they cheerfully agreed to send us our exact order again at no extra cost. We're not used to such pleasant responses to making a complaint, and so came on here to commend and recommend this top-class eating hostelry to y'all. I hope you can tell this is a genuine review from genuinely satisfied customers (32 years living in lovely Liverpool). Three cheers for Bakchich!

Very dry food, and definitely too expensive. Rubbish and the shawarma platter arrived not wrapped, only the chicken thrown of a little slice of bread no sauce no pickles nothing else just that in a box!

Went today for a "small lunch"....was totally amazed by the potions.......had king prawn.....would highly recommend this restaurant

tried this place for the first time yesterday and ordered a chicken shawma. It was simple and tasted really nice, but weirdly gave me food poisoning that I m suffering pretty badly from today. Also, the table by the window gets extremely cold!!! A real shame because waitresses were lovely and was a really nice atmosphere.

Nice food but a bit disappointed with hygiene. Pet friendly, not aware of this beforehand, which is ok but dogs on some tables eating from plates with dog food mess left on menus and tables. Table not throughly cleaned thereafter. This may be ok for some but not particularly appetising for those preferring a slightly cleaner experience.

Amazing food and good sized portions every time we visit. This place is always busy but that doesn t effect the quality of food or service. Always been a quick service and food never took ages considering how busy it is. Everyone we recommended this place to loved it. Reasonablly priced as well.

Excellent lamb, great lemonade. Mopping the floor with bleach whilst customers are eating isn't a great idea. But the food is delicious. I'd suggest booking as it is extremely busy.

Average food. Do not expect too much.
The mix-grilled and kids pizza were delicious.However, the hummus and falafel were not good at all (never order them if you know how hummus and falafel should be). Also, the Chicken Shawarma and the fruit juices were average. Moreover, I do not like the manner of the waiter at all. he was not polite and try to make fun of the customers. He should be more polite and respectable.

Our first visit and an enjoyable one. A pleasant environment and, when we visited Bakchich was busy. Friendly, helpful staff, a menu to make your mouth water and the meals served were of excellent quality and very tasty.
Note: no alcohol available but a wide choice of drinks are available.
I'm sure we will be visiting again.

Lovely lamb wraps and non alcoholic drinks (apple cucumber mint jug between 2 was great) all priced reasonablely, excellent service too.

Good and relatively cheap food. We had a mixture of mezze and chicken shawarma, the latter was the best although the grilled halloumi and baba ganoush were quite tasty as well.

Amazing experience as usual. Friendly staff, not so busy, found a table for 4 as soon as we arrived, I would still recommend reserving a table before showing up. I tried the mixed shawerma platter, highly recommended.

Halal Restaurant in Liverpool city center. I ordered baklawa, lamb and chicken platter. The foods are delicious and the service is good.

Ordered shawarma in that place after I spend an entire afternoon visiting different museums at Albert Dock. It was a fantastic meal and I enjoyed every bit of it. However I got a bit too full at the end. Overall it had been a five-star experience.

Definitely not worth what you pay for. Very bland food.
