We have an annual conference at the Arvada Center. What a great group of people to work with. Barbara offers suggestions and accommodates our needs and wishes. Wouldn't think of taking this anywhere else.

We had a company function here. The wait staff was frumpy and their clothes didnt even fit. The taco bar they set up was backwards started with the filling then the taco shells and tortillas. The staff member that was standing there was asked to get a spoon for the salsa and he picked up the spoon used for the blue cheese dressing and put it in the salsa.

We took my three year old to see Seussical on his birthday and it was a hit. This was his first live performance and was such a great choice. We purchased general admission tickets for a low price and were able to sit in the front row. There were a lot of schools there to watch the performance so they blocked off the first three front center rows for ticketed people so it was easy to find a seat. The cast was great job. They are actual professional performers not just people who do this for a hobby. We will definitely be going back for more children's theater and even adult theater for a date night.

Nice theater and everything is in good shape. It is the staff, directors and writers I have some serious concerns with. I have gone here over the years and it is not a welcoming environment for diversity at all. I do not think that the center is aware of the unwelcoming atmosphere it has created for people of color. From the way the staff treats people to specifically the stereotypes and script that is displayed on stage. I was there recently with my family for the Sister Act production. Not only was the overall theme of the movie evaded, around the unity of a group of women regardless of race religion, and upbringing; there was more precedent put on the differences and the shaming of black women as they reinforced negative stereotypes. The lead actress was very talented, and I am not demoting her work or the work of the cast. It is the directors, writers and center that should be looking at their very dated, and I must say racist script, that shocked and honestly disgusted my family. Throwing around degrading terms like the N word in a musical and making a joke out of it is the epitome of reinforcing oppressive behavior towards people of color. Regardless of the time period the play took place ( which was the recent '70's), there is no appropriate time to make a degrading and oppressive term seem light hearted or ok to use in 2016. Very disappointed in this place and the audience who laughed loudest at this disturbing joke. I hope the center and all who participated will step up and realize their mistake and do their part in helping make this a welcoming place for all by doing their research and being more societally appropriate next time. Until then, my family, friends and I will never be returning.

The first thing you see here is a beautiful park with tons of open space, sculptures and room to run and play! My daughter loved the cement dragon located behind the center which is okay to climb on!

Loved the venue. Comfy intimate outdoor amphitheater. Fun to bring in a picnic and sit on the grass. One thing that could be improved is the pitch of the lawn is very steep. Spent the whole concert trying not to slide down the lawn. Great sound, good beer.

Small but free! This is a great little space. I'm assuming the displays change throughout the year. We happened to see the chair display, which was fun and interesting. Apparently there is an old cabin on the premises that we missed. So if you go, be sure to see everything. I'd certainly come here again!

Arvada Center has an amazing variety of classes, Art displays and live theatre shows for everyone from kids to "Theatre Snobs"(Namely me). I have seen many a production give downtown Denver a serious run for their money at better prices! There are really no bad seats in either of the venues. I also appreciate all the hardworking and friendly volunteers because they are always so welcoming!

Cool sculptures too in the park outside the building

It's simply a very nice unpretentious venue. It is a multi-purpose facility that also includes an outdoor venue for summer concerts. It is a much bigger venue than most city owned and run venues in my opinion. I know people that volunteer for The Center who can't extol the virtues enough. Happy volunteers make for a well run organization and satisfied patrons. The Arvada Center has such diverse offerings not only in performing arts, music and plays, but also visual arts amongst other offerings. The Arvada Center has an appeal throughout the Denver Metro area both for it's quality of offerings and affordability. I believe the Arvada Center to be second only to the DCPA. This was written by a resident of another city.

We love going to plays here. It is great too be in smaller theaters as everything feels more personal. The actors always do a great job and the variety of shows is good. It is a little pricey, but great to bring our children to local theater and expose them to different plays.

We went to a book release that included a signing, and their handling of ticketing, parking, lines, refreshments, and just general atmosphere was wonderful. Their staff was helpful and knowledgable and I intend to attend many more events in the future!

We saw Elf and were absolutely amazed by the quality of the production. It was without doubt one of the best stage shows we attended. For small theater you get Broadway heart and entertainment.

Incredible little collection of art in an open field next to Wadsworth. No paths, just wander freely and enjoy!

I visited during sunset and it was perfect! Totally free and a great place for a selfie binge if that s your thing!
