My waitress Amanda was excellent! I ordered a taco that was good and a green enchilada but it didn't have much flavor. The salsa was good but pretty mild, not much spice to anything on my plate of taco, green enchilada, beans and rice. Overall the food was good especially if youryo not wanting spicy food.

My family ordered the Carne guisada plate, the enchilada/relleno plate, and the harvest burrito. All were delicious! The guisado was melt in your mouth level! Great service!!! I'm from south TX and the rice and beans are as authentic as you can get.

We've eaten at Anna's several times and the food and service have always been excellent. i see a few bad reviews, but can't imagine it being as bad as some have indicated. The food has always been hot and tasty. Good value. Great service. We're about go again. Our daughter is in town from DC, and she requested it, and she considers herself a foodie.

The worse service and food that I've have ever got there. Waitress never came back to fill out drinks and the food was cold. It wasn't busy at all. Very disappointed. We eat there all the time , not sure I will go back.

My wife and I were passing through Lubbock on our way home from vacation and stopped for the night. We had been out of state and were missing our good Texas Mexican food. We were sorely disappointed by going here. The menu was pretty limited, no enchilada dinners or different fajita plates here, instead they had a few chicken dishes, your standard fajita plate and some combo plates (which were all pretty similar). We went for the fajitas thinking fajitas are always good, the flavor was alright but they loaded it with more bell peppers than meat. The beef was also more like chipped beef than skirt steak or anything else that you would usually see for fajitas
Their other problem was the service. We got drinks and chips/ salsa in a decent amount of time, but about ten minutes later the waitress brought out our pico and shredded cheese that came with the meal, and that was it. We figured our food was on its way but ten minutes later a different server came out and asked us what we were missing. All we could do was laugh, gesture at the table, and say our whole meal. Shortly after our waitress came by and said there was a mixup and that our food would be out shortly. She took my tea glass and apparently decided to hold it hostage because it wasn't seen again for another ten minutes untill our food finally came out. The waitress apologized for the wait and graciously decided to bend the strict two tortilla policy and told us there were two extra tortillas in the container.... Alas there were not and we couldn't help but laugh some more.
Some other things I noticed were that the refried beans seemed to be some of the cheap canned variety with water added to it. And the tortillas seemed to come out of a bag. Overall it seemed as if this whole restaurant was sombody's romantisized idea of Mexico and Mexican food. I realize that Mexican food in Mexico is not what it is in Texas but the food is better than that and the look of the place was also like nothing I'd ever seen.
This is only the second restaurant review I have ever written and hopefully its the last, because a place has to really screw up for me to take the trouble to write about it. I would like to thank them for the entertainment value of it though because all we could do was laugh after a full day in the car.

Was craving some Mamaritas nachos today but traffic was pretty bad so I thought I would swing by Anna's since it is a few blocks from my house. Had eaten here one time before in November and it was meh. Ordered their Nachos El Grande appetizer and a tea to go. Said 8.99 on the menu which I thought was a little steep for nachos but whatever. Not outrageous. I paid before I got the food. Charged me 13 bucks. Guess she rang it up as fajita nachos or their small drinks cost like 3 bucks. Again, not a huge deal. Hope they are good, though! They got the order out fairly quickly (under 10 minutes). It was brought out to me by the front desk and I asked if they put salsa in the sack. The girl smiled and said salsa wasn't included. I don't know if the people at Anna's realize this, but Chuy's does free nachos on weekdays right down the road. I feel like the B-team that was working today at 2:30pm probably made a slight mistake in charging me, but c'mon, practically every other Mexican food restaurant in Lubbock gives salsa away. When I got home and ate the nachos, they were mediocre. I'm just glad I didn't opt to sit down at the restaurant and eat. If I gave a decent tip, it would have cost me 16-18 bucks to eat some mediocre nachos. At least I might have gotten salsa, though...

I'm not impress at all. Do not waste your time with this place. Horrile customer service and very cheap meat quality. If you want real mexican delicous food and great service, go to Taqueria Guadalajara.

Service was excellent, salsa was good, margaritas were flowing like milk and honey in the promised land. The description for flautas did not strike me to think they would actually come out as taquitos. They were fine but those nachos took me to church.

They served excellent food. It was about 12:30 when I arrived. It was very crowded. Had to sit in waiting area for a table could be in service. Wait was about 20 minutes. I had to wait 10 minutes before I was asked if I needed a refill of drink. That staff member was very unprofessional. I w will not go here again. Had better experience in other places of kindness in food service.
