In 2013, more than two years after my discharge from de Persgroep, I was there for a meeting of the UWV for older unemployed people, where Lodewijk Asscher made a brief appearance. In 1976, at the beginning of my career at Het Parool, I attended two pop concerts. The first was that of the enchanting Linda Ronstadt (check out her 1976 concert in Offenbach on Youtube!), The second was my first Jackson Browne concert, with a tiny roll for his son Ethan. a fellow generation of Asscher, who would later become a fashion model. Oh, how old I get ...

Because of Data presentation here. We were greeted friendly by a parking attendant then there was enough space for our car. Before the show we bought a parking ticket at the bar so that we could go directly to the car after the show. At the exit was a friendly parking guard who took our parking card so we could drive out quickly. N compliment worth

Extremely cheap if you want to explore Amsterdam! Just leave the car here for only 1 all day and then for 2 per person by tram into town and back. If you compare this with the usual 20 daily parking price in Amsterdam this is a bargain!

This is a terrible room. We have visited many theaters, but we have never had such a bad view of the stage. And that while we still had expensive places. The height difference of the hall seats is so small that you always look at the heads in front of you. The adults for us also had problems with that. They therefore decided to take booster cushions for children during the break so they could see it better.
That is then an unpleasant surprise if you are behind these smart guys (that did not last long). It is incomprehensible to us that the designers of this space have not even started testing themselves in the auditorium. Then they would have immediately discovered what we also noticed: because you constantly have to look among the heads in front of you, you do not enjoy a moment of the performance: for us that was Cats, undoubtedly fantastic if you see it in any other theater than this Rai hall.
This is one of the largest theaters in Amsterdam, but without doubt the worst. We will never go here again.

P + R is more often closed than open. In addition, you pay the full daily rate if you stand longer than 24 hours (regardless of the duration). Parking bays are also very tight and only suitable if you are driving a Kia Picanto.

Test center corona easily accessible. Good directions. The woman behind the table could not understand everything, ask everything a few times, do you have an appointment today. Otherwise I wouldn't be there with my kid. Woman behind the table also coughing. And also the test is not fun for the child very painful. They don't say what they are going to do or whether it is sensitive or painful. Child in tears. It's really assembly line work this.

Large but therefore unclear. With a household grant, all parking spaces were full, so we had to make a detour to still use shuttle buses. And where the route to the shuttle buses was also poorly marked

The centre itself is ok, but you can see it's lacking space. The exhibition I went to needed two additional temporary tents to accommodate the show which made the layout more complex. The real problem though is the public transport links. Everything is too under developed to cater for large events (for example there is just one ticket machine at the metro station).

Very large place, can be at times unclear where you are and how you need to walk to get somewhere else. Food and drinks complete stupid overpriced and bad quality. 26 euro parking to top it off.

I was at the RAI for the USE show. The RAI is easy to get to using public transport both from Schipol airport and central Amsterdam. Facilities are good with plenty of places to grab a coffee or a drink and to eat although I am not sure how many of these are permanent or were part of the ISE show so probably best to check.

Always nice the housekeeping fair.

Always nice the housekeeping fair.
The other events in the rai are also well organized.

Your card will be scanned upon arrival.
Do you have a wardrobe and can take a map with you.

There are many toilets in the rai and are also well signposted.

The price is normal. You are always more expensive than in the supermarket, but that is the case everywhere.

If you come by car you will be well guided if it is very busy with parking

I definitely recommend going to the rai for a day!
