excellent house- gin and tonic, that was blueberry infused.
the crisps were great and were made in-house and had a great crunch to them.
Pork crackling was my first attempt, it had a little crab apple jam on the side which lightened up the oilyness of the dish.
will have to stay for dinner next time but the ambience was good!

Been coming here since it opened. The menu is always a fresh change from the usual Whistler dining. Recently had the vegan burger special with a glass of wine. It was all I hoped and dreamed for. The wine selection is always fantastic. Service is impeccable. Good work guys.

This is a cozy and popular spot. Definitely make a reservation a few days in advance. Esp if you are coming during peak dinner hours. They are open midnight and it definitely feels like they are busy all the way to the end.

Food here was well done and very tasty. Had the seared tuna and smoked scallops and the pork dish. So very tasty but I wish there were bigger portions. Ordered one appetizer, two meetings and two desserts for two people and about 2-3 drinks each. Worked it to about $120 reach before tip. Great meal but left a tad hungry.

Service was attentive and friendly.

We went on our last night and wanted to splurge but after looking at some of the more expensive places this caught our eye with its seasonal and local ingredients menu at very reasonable prices.

Wow were we amazed! The food was extremely high quality and delicious. The choucroute and spaetzel we had were both intricate with multitudes of flavors and unique components. The wine list was also well thought out with plenty of by the glass options and the cocktails equally impressive.

This was by far our best meal at Whistler all week and it cost us less than most of the other dinners we had out in the village.

We were strolling around the village, looking for a dessert and another drink. Came upon the bistro and it was just the perfect way to end our night. The desserts blew our little minds out, espressos were delicious, and the whiskey selection was exactly what we were looking for. The hostess, our server and the bartender all went out of their way and elevated the experience to the next level! Such a great evening, thank you. I highly recommend this lovey bistro. We will be back.

Wow!

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner last night. Fresh, creative dishes were all delicious, even mains like a burger or gnocchi which we had were far more creative. The burger was made of bison & pork. My pumpkin gnocchi included crisp sage leaves amongst other toppings. Huge wine list too. Great, attentive service made for a nice evening.

Delicious food, fantastic service, and a good wine list. My only quibble with the wine list would be that for a restaurant that is all about sustainable local food, there could be a few more BC wines on list and less of an emphasis on European wine.

I felt as if I were in an episode of chefs table. A truly unique dining experience. I ve never experienced such eclectic tastes and great presentation. The cocktails, espresso and desert were amazing too.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that Alta Bistro was the best meal of my entire life. The food here is absolutely phenomenal and the drinks were amazing too. I cannot rate this place high enough.

We felt the restaurant was really rushing us out of there... the server probably came back to ask if they could take stuff away 3-4 times within 15min span . The website said we could be there for 1.5 hrs, we were gone in 45 mins because of how quickly they took everything away, and feeling unwelcomed. We told the server he could take away one empty dish and he even took our cutlery so we couldn t enjoy the last dish.. maybe he expected we would eat the rest with our hands? The food was just okay... so our anniversary dinner was quite unmemorable. The first server... she almost seemed annoyed when I said I didn t want a drink... my husband got a beer. But we still spent 100+ on the meal. I Would not come back and not recommend to others... the only good thing was the heated plates.

Overall good dinner, though found that the make we ordered were a little lack luster. The except was the tuna which was delicious. Children portions were generous. Nice and cozy interior, friendly staff. Reading the other reviews, could very well be the choices of dishes we picked, will surely try again.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here expecting high quality french cuisine.

We both got the Alta burger with side of chips. The chips were stale, cold and overly salty. The bun was not toasted and the patty was and bland.

Although the servers were warm and welcoming, we were very disappointed with the food and the price that we paid for it.

Nice French restaurant worth a stop when you are in whistler. They were able to accommodate 10 of us ordering family style.

There were a lot of dishes being passed back and forth I could not keep track of what all I had. But I can tell you that everything was excellent!

Would love to come back and try it in a more low key setting with just the two of us. Then I can focus more on the meal and let you know what is really good.

Ordered sourdough bread for the table and each person got the the Spring 3 Course Meal. I had the French Onion Soup, the Cod Lasagna, and the Lamb Sausage. Each course was excellent and care was put into each flavor and each flavor combination that was a part of each course. I had a taste of the chocolate cheesecake for dessert which was a great way to finish an excellent night

We ordered an Xmas dinner to go about 4 days before arrival. They sent a ready to pick up text, but we were already on our way. It was ready to go and we put it in oven to keep warm until we were ready. Great options of turkey and ham with all the side dishes including stuffing, gravy and even Potatoes Anna. We would recommend as the meal was excellent and the Negroni was perfect. All the best.

The food here is unbelievably good, if you're looking for vegan or vegetarian they will blow your mind. Looking for meat or fish dishes their options although limited are beyond words. They own making core ingredients in house aged jalapeno sauce, tonic water and soda water. The meats wether it's beef, pork, or fish are perfectly cooked and hard to beat. If flavor town wasn't a meme it would describe this place.

The servers were very friendly, the food came out quickly and the drinks were not watered down. We got the dinner for two and the butternut squash soup was great but I found the other entrees very salty and the carrot cake would have been better if it had been warm.

we had such a positive experience here with the staff. They were so genuine and accommodating. We had to leave before ordering food for some personal reasons. but we will definitely return as the environment was lovely and the food looked great.

The food is focused and thoughtful. I appreciate the all female crew as well. However the final result of the food is a little underwhelming. Portion is a bit mean for the price. The food tasted less special then the description. I came with high expectations and inevitably compared it to Araxi, which is not a fair comparison in some ways. At the end of the day, I likely won't return as a tourist from Vancouver.

Overall my favourite restaurant in Whistler. Forget the others that might appear better rated, overall this place beats them hands down with atmosphere, service and quality of the food. It's all local and seasonal, staff know the menu inside out and atmosphere is understated elegance. If you get the chance just go for the tasting menu and you'll get an amazing mix.
