There are those who say that the acoustics are not good for concerts. But honestly, I have always had a good time. Obviously it cannot be at the level of the Parco della Musica auditorium or Santa Cecilia

But were the sound technicians during the Liam Gallagher concert sleeping or playing cards?

How can they not notice that while the artist sang the voice was barely heard? How can they fail to notice that the artist himself made the sign of raising the microphone gain?

Embarrassing.

It was certainly more beautiful as a sports palace than a pseudo concert hall. The acoustics are pitiful. You go there because often there are no alternatives, already knowing that it will be difficult even to understand the words of the singers. If I can choose I go to the auditorium, rather

Very easy to reach also from the highway, ample parking and possibility to park in the surroundings too. I do not give 5 stars only because the seats in the grandstand are not super comfortable :)

Considering the architecture of the architect nervi, the strategic position, the good sorting system of the seats as well as the possibility of having a complete view in every sector prevents me from not giving the lowest rating because the acoustics are absolutely bad and not suitable for hosting concerts

I know this great building. THE SPORT PALACE OF ROME! It is a circular structure of modern style with steps, in the center of the environment there is a square where various sporting events take place, music events and events in the entertainment world.

PalaLottomatica is the commercial name assumed by the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome (commonly also known as PalaSport or PalaEur), a building located in the EUR district.
Conceived and designed in 1956 by the architect Marcello Piacentini and the engineer Pier Luigi Nervi, and built between 1958 and 1960 for the 17th Olympic Games in Rome, the structure has since then hosted sporting events, conferences and concerts.
Between 1999 and 2003 it was subjected to modernization and renovation works carried out by ForumNet S.p.A. and financed by Lottomatica; the latter acquired the right to give its name to the plant, managed by All Events Spa, a company of the ForumNet group, while the owner of the building is EUR SpA.
The structure has returned to being, starting from 2018, the home of the home matches of the professional basketball club Virtus Roma.
In the EUR 42 district, which was being set up, seat of the Universal Exposition scheduled for 1942 but never built, a monumental installation in the area above the Laghetto was already planned since 1937, at the rejoining of the carriageways of the Via Imperiale ( today via Cristoforo Colombo). The scenic effect that should have resulted was that of a "perspective backdrop" for visitors from Rome [1].
It was decided, in this area, to build the so-called Palazzo dell'Acqua e della Luce for whose project 16 well-known engineers and architects were invited, including Pier Luigi Nervi and Franco Albini. From the selection, announced in February 1939, there were no winners. The second prize was awarded to Nervi's work, then the examining commission, directed by Marcello Piacentini, directly took on the burden of carrying out the work; Nervi decided to back down and even the commission came to a standstill. The work never found realization, also thanks to the subsequent war which stopped all the works.

I'm now at the Alessandra Amoroso concert, she's fantastic, but you can't understand the words when she sings the same thing at the Eros concert, now I wonder but you can't do anything for the acoustics ????

The Palazzo dello Sport, as its name suggests, was born to make us sport and not music. As a result it has terrible acoustics, a parterre where, or you're up from the meter and 80 up, or you can hardly place yourself in the first three rows under the stage, or you can not see anything. Despite this, if they are bands or artists that are minimally famous, in winter this is the only place to play them, and the tickets are always very expensive. On the other hand, in the summer it is even worse: the large or medium (in terms of fame and therefore of public attendance) are hijacked to the Capannelle racecourse, with non-existent acoustics, dust that enters the orifices and public overpaid treated like poor cows in a Slavic cattle wagon.
Regarding the indie music, and therefore less famous groups that bring between 500 and 1000 spectators, once there was the wonderful Circle of Artists, but then, for bureaucratic reasons, it was closed.
The moral is that in Rome, capital of Italy, there are no places dedicated to rock, pop, indie, etc. We are completely cut off from the umpteenth business that would bring jobs and money. In addition to the pleasure of listening and seeing a concert of bands going to Milan, Florence, Bologna, or even small towns, sometimes unknown, but not in Rome. What to say? Compliments to the current municipal council and those that preceded it. All agree in making Rome increasingly disastrous and sad.
