Very friendly management and staff, best hamburgers & chili in town! All at very reasonable prices.

I've been eating at this place since '00. On and off over the years! It has always been great food, the atmosphere is very much a homey feeling type. The staff is friendly and the food is still just as good. I'm a once or twice a week lunch guy here still now that I work closer to it. Thanks AL for the many years of great food and service!!

Moved to the neighborhood looking for a real meat hamburger not a spamburger like at other restaurants

Hamburgers are mashed flat squeezing all the flavor out! The chili is wolf brand out of a can. The shake machine doesn't work. It is what it is a small cheap hamburger place not even sonic quality. If that is a median marker for smashed hamburgers..

I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with country gravy of course and green beans. Sooo good please give this place a try.

This place has some amazing burgers amd their onion rings are to die for. On top of that it all really well priced.

What is not to love about this place. It is super cheap and you get a good amount of food. Plus it takes me back in time when I go in there. The onion rings are the best and they have a great burgers!

Very sloppy service, filthy floors, crumbs and grease-laden tables, cheap-o burger meat, WOW! What happened to the good old days when Al's was king? Poor Al, if he could only see it now..... won't be back.

Oh yes, definitely a place to go. The breakfast amazing, and the old fashion bar stools to sit at made it even more relaxing.

The only complaint is need to change the oil more often otherwise it is terrific

It's a great place for a greasy burger! Their Frito pie is great as well.

This place is not really good it seems like it used to be a cool spot back in the day but it's passed its prime. The whole place felt kinda greasy and sad.

Came here for lunch twice now and it s becoming our favorite spot. Love the daily specials of pot roast and meatloaf. They offer low carb options which are always great in my book. The owner was working in the kitchen while we were dining in and she was very friendly and came out to speak to patrons. Everyone greeted us when we entered and when we were walking out. We come during lunch and are always in and out in 30 minutes. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back!

food is fine , fries arent seasoned at all . oh and expect no pecans on your southern PECAN pie smh .

My wife and I went in & they sat us down with a smile. They treated us like family. Food was awesome. We'll be coming here again for breakfast and lunch.

Super duper yummy long time burger joint in Arlington! The BEST old fashioned pot roast and mashed potatoes!

Had breakfast a couple of times... kinda like an unfranchised Denny's. Friendly enough at the waitress-level, but with alot of the "this is purely business" feel for the backend of the restaraunt. Food comes fast, service isn't real personal, prices are OK, the omelets are great... I'll go back.

Came tonight overcharged me! Plus the allegedly mushroom Swiss was brunt and where was my bacon 200 extra dollars

The double patty melt absolutely hits the spot. Love this place but they need an Oreo shake for a real diner feel.

Its an institution & right of passage to have eaten at Al's Hamburger... if you don't know then you will never understand & thats ok with this 60 year old Arlingtonite resident

Burgers are real good, chili fries were a little bland but tasted fine with hot sauce

The food was better than expected. I went with a group of 8 and we all enjoyed the food and service. The ambiance is very homey.

I ordered a cheeseburger and a triple cheeseburger both with fries in a togo order. i returned due to the fries being burnt. requested a refund the manager was rude and then refused. i left but she gave a racist impression. i will dispute with AMEX. I didn't want cash i just didn't want the food. she never made an attempt to resolve the issue the manager just treated me rudely so i walked away. The fact you have to respond with a lie tell me more about your character than the bad service that i received.

This place has excellent service and a wonderful staff. The food is delicious and all made fresh! Best burger place in town! If your looking for some good homemade country food this is the place to come.

It was not a good lunch. The wait staff were friendly and the food came out quick. The hamburger that I ordered tasted dry and old. The meat just did not taste fresh. When the waitress came to check on us I told her that my burger was not good at all tasted bad. I only ate about a third of it. She took my plate and apologize for the bad Burger. A few minutes later she gave me the check for my meal and the friend that I was with. I did not want her to comp my meal, maybe just a fresh Burger replacement. I received nothing more than a I am sorry from the waitress. No manager came over to check, I was not asked if I wanted to replace it with something else or take it off my ticket. In my opinion very poor service. Again I was not looking for a free meal just possibly some type of replacement or even a word from management. I received nothing but the bill for my bad lunch. It will be a long time before I go back if ever.

One of the best places to go for a burger. Fresh, hot, food all the time. I have had chicken strips with white gravy. Mmmmmm really good everything. The waitstaff is quick to deliver. Nothing sits long in the window. They get it too your table fast.

Went here for first time in a long time and it was really good. We had the meatloaf and I can t wait to have it again. Service was also very good and friendly.

I took my husband to the new location to eat during the time that we were under the Covid restrictions and the burgers are very good the only thing I did not like was we sat outside on the patio it was very windy and the tables were too close to each other when we got our food out our burger was warm but the fries were cold

Dinner was great. We had a burger, tots and Frito Chile Pie. Some of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. My husband had chocolate pie.

I m so tired of getting a completely PINK hamburger. I like that they have fast service, but I would much rather have my hamburger cooked fully.
