Good auditorium with accommodation & good location just crossing at A.J.C.Bose Rd. & Theater Rd.

One of the oldest and important cultural stage in Kolkata.

Nice n lovely auditorium, visited after long time. Earlier in 90's used to come frequently

Very good Auditorium but sound management is not at all good, either worn equipment is still being used or the audio technicians are too lazy and careless. I never got good audio from them for my recordings.

Centrally located, spacious auditorium, comfortable seats, good acoustics too.. an old and prestigious auditorium.

Good for entertainment ,meeting&cultural activities

It is very easy to manupulate and it can solve the problem quickly

Awesome place for organizing show. Good sound system . Chairs are comfortable. Besides plenty of space for stalls. Only a bit parking problem is there. Easily accessible from all part of the city.

An auditorium in desperate needs of an upgrade. There are two floors each having an auditorium. The upper floor has a bigger Auditorium than the basement one. The seating space is quite small and uncomfortable. Parking is a problem as the lane outside has no parking on both sides. But uniqueness is the sound system and the age old staff looking after the place. Several programs like musical programs, comedy shows, art and culture shows take place here almost every weekend.

I had visited this auditorium way back to watch the enacting of the Lion King. The sound system is quite good. It's also centrally air conditioned. Food and drinks are also available.

Nice ambient. Snacks on sale are also there. As the location is prime so a little hassle due to one way.

Very good place for cultural programs. Always conducting some programs there. Good ambience.

Nice place wd great decor.. exclusively booked for the posh community and companies. High booking expenses. But some good cultural programme and shows/plays take place here.

Always a joy to take in a show at this centrally located theater.

Old place of our cultural activities full with childhood memories

Good & traditional area. Have visited many cultural programmes too. It allows people from different workfield to showcase their talent. Good stage and hall at reasonable price if someone wants to organise any seminar here.

This place is situated in Theatre road aka Shakespeare Sarani.
It's a nice place.

This venue has 2 auditoriums:
Kala Mandir and Kala Kunj.

Kala Mandir is much better and much bigger than the other.
It has stadium type seats which are missing in the other.
It's an alright place to view plays, shows etc.

I personally have only visited to attend commedy shows and find it upto the mark.

The only problem is that there is no parking available nearby. You have to park atleast 5 to 7 minutes away and walk to the venue.

Have never tried the food so no comments.
