Where do I start. This was my family s second visit in three years to this hotel. This time we had a few problems. The hotel and room were tired looking and in need of refurbishment. I expected more for almost $600 per night. One day our air conditioning wasn t working and we spent the night in an 80 degree room. Just what you want after a day at the beach. We went down to the front desk several times to notify them. Both unsympathetic attendants told me that they would pass this info on to upper management and someone would reach out to me to discuss. We were also told we were probably not using it correctly. Yes, an Ivy League doctor can t operate a thermostat. Must be me. No one ever did get back to us. Got your message loud and clear. You just don t care about your guests comfort. In addition, housekeeping forgot to make up our room. We were told this was because of a do not disturb sign left on our door. Not the case but par for the course with this place. Again, must be my fault. If your looking for a hotel to stay at for your Cape May escape, do yourself a favor and skip this place. You can do a lot better for your money. This will absolutely be my last stay here.
It s funny how the hotel responded to my Trip Advisor s review immediately after posting a poor review on that site. They didn t care about my air conditioner breaking down, just the review. They tried turning it around to make me sound unreasonable. I applaud your efforts. True colors. Apparently that s all it takes to get management s attention.
