Green Valley Ranch is a very upscale Casino resort...

Green Valley Ranch is a very upscale Casino resort in the Henderson area of Vegas. There is a very upscale shopping mall nearby. It is maybe 15 minutes from the strip in decent traffic conditions.
First ,there is plenty of free parking. There are two large parking garages and also some extra parking out front.
I have never stayed at the hotel... Rates are very high compared to the strip. The pool area looks pretty nice though. From what I can tell, I assume Green Valley would be a great place to spend a couple of days.
Unlike its brother property the Red Rock, Green Valley is not as linear when walking through it. I prefer the more streamlined Red Rock in this aspect. There are many restaurants in a food court containing fast food restaurants located within. Tides seafood, Pizza Rock, Hanks steaks, Borracha cantina, Bella Vita, Feast buffet all spread out around the main gaming area. The food court contains capriati subs, Tony's slice house, fatburger, and Starbucks. For late-night eating there is a cafe. Otherwise fatburger seems like the only place that stays open consistently past midnight.
The poker room is fairly decent sized, but the action is not quite as good as red rock. There are not as many games and often the games end early. Still I like the layout of the poker room as there is rarely a bad seat if you're looking to watch TV while you wait for a good hand. The staff here is great...
The sportsbook is a little smaller than Red Rock but not as busy. I love the sportsbook area at the Station casinos. Lots of seating, places to charge your phone, free Wi-Fi, and tons of TVs to watch the action.
The area around the casino is super upscale... Plenty of security around as well. I feel very secure going to and from my car.
I don't give Green Valley 5 stars like I do the Red Rock, mainly because the Red Rock is a little bigger with a little bit more to do. Still this is a great place to go gamble or take your significant others and spend a few days.
