Mahil Vasanth Review of Bicester Village Designer Outl...

Handled the virus badly, but still had great shops. During these times I found it particularly distressing to see the lack of the ability to social-distance in any areas. From the get-go my temperature was checked and I did have to queue to get in because of the limited amount of people allowed inside of the village. The queue was tediously long and was housed in such a tiny area that nobody had a chance to even try to socially distance. This could ve easily been countered by using a digital queuing system like a lot of shops had implemented. Although requiring a mobile device to enter might have seemed classist the place still only had high-end shops not to mention the fact that a good amount of shops required digital queuing. Also, considering the demographics of people who would be visiting the village, young middle to upper-class people it would be reasonable to assume that most people coming would have a device. Also, although requiring a device might not allow some people to enter, that it dwarfed by the risk of infecting people with the virus. On the streets of the village it was impossible to distance yourself from others, although stopping stupid people from abiding to the rules is not always possible, some steps could ve been taken eg. moving eateries away from the centres of paths and losing the limit of people allowed into the village .
The shops were an order of magnitude better than Bicester Outlet although a social-distance was hard to maintain in a lot of them, they still all had employees wearing masks or visors, unlike the employees of the outlet . They also had virtual queues, one-way, marked out systems and easily accessible mandatory hand sanitizer. It was a shame to see the the lassez-faire approach of the village, causing shops to set the president, having to do all of the work in containing the virus.
Overall I was very disappointed by the seeming lack of any effort by Bicester Village and really wish that they had done better.
Edit: I forgot my bathroom review
Bathroom Review*
The bathrooms were clean with a nice asethetic as well as a relatively hands-free hand-cleaning system.
The soap smelled nice and was foamy enough to feel satisfying once finished with.
The hand lotion was provided by Molton Brown and felt amazing to use. It dried quickly, moistured well, was dispensed in a good dosage, easily and smelled great.
Overall it was one of the best bathrooms I have visited, with the lotion being the star of the show, even if it was just an advertisement for one of the shops.
*My experiences are just for the men s bathroom, I did not experience the disabled nor women s bathrooms and therefore cannot speak about them
