I agree with some of the previous comments that accurately asses the experience you can have at OSU (and any other school, job, etc. for that matter) is largely what you make it. This was my third school (after transferring twice), so I do have quite the frame of reference (and have had experience with losing credits during a transfer). It is very large, but I didn't find it impersonal. In the COMM dept, the professors were great, intelligent people who did seem to care about each student individually (regardless of whether the class was large or small). My advisers were amazing and did everything they could do to help me graduate. I am proud to be a Buckeye. It's not a perfect school and I agree that too much money goes into athletics relative to other fields, but it's nice to be able to watch the games after graduating and feel a sense of pride and belonging to not just a regional school, but an international culture and community. The registrars office could be improved, as they failed to get my student aid in semester after semester and almost made me have to drop out due to their incompetence. But I was there in that office like every day trying to get it fixed and eventually it did. No complaints, got my degree and I'm happy with it.
