I would think in the year 2018 that woman with children and the workforce is socially acceptable! I applied for a assistant director position and the hiring person was more interested in what I could do for her rather than seeing my years of experience, education credentials and qualifications. I was addressed in a matter that was discriminatory because I have 4 children. This is not a handicap! I would no way accept a position here after understanding the motivation of the director! Rather than being family oriented she wanted to hire someone who would not be a burden to her! Basically, the interview was about her prior experience with her assistant and needing me to cookie cut myself into that role of being available on a snap. Her needing me on call at home is fine with me, but the whole interview was her skeptics of not wanting to mess up her role as opener and the assistant as closer. She was very skeptical of my children attending the center as well! The interview process was very un-inviting with zero flexibility for a mother to have a career here! No boss should ever make you feel that your children should come second. Very unprofessional! Negitive one star
