Overall a decent work environment with opportunities for some entry level work in multiple professional and general labor areas. A good place to start .

There are some setbacks depending on what department you are in. I d recommend any department except Customer Care and Human Resources. One hundred percent avoid Human Resources both to work in and as an employee in any area! Stifling, archaic, and duplicitous are the top 3 words to come to mind.

Best professional departments: IT, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering. Also, they re a union shop for the production floor and that is great for welders, fabricators, and general laborers.

Most everyone is easy to get along with and committed to their jobs. There are good benefits. However, a lot of their top talent is being drained off by a serious lack of upward mobility and outdated work environment. It s a steady work flow but when you get in you are doing the same routine indefinitely.

Product wise, they are experts in light poles and flagpoles with old fashioned but well developed engineering and manufacturing principles. They do know what they re doing and do it well.
