I did not stay at the hotel but attended an event there. At a night swim party, I brought my Go Pro camera. I was told by security to take it back to my hotel. I told them that was a 25 minute walk one way. Security said, "too bad no Go Pro camera" but yet every other person was walking in with their phones that had the capability to take photos and videos and then broadcast the on the internet. Words from the ticket I purchased, "Alcohol, drugs, contraband, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers may be prohibited" another quote from the ticket I purchased "No photography, video or other recording or transmission of any images of event are permitted without venue or artist approval." Did the management approve of every camera phone that was present? Heck No. So I was given no choice but to spend $50 at the baggage check or waste 50 minutes of pool time that I paid for to walk back to my hotel. I believe the hotel Wynn should just refund me my $50 and work on their policies for their pool parties. My communications with the person at the hotel were unsuccessful and I was told no refund would be given for the check bag charge. I was told the hotel has a policy about refunding checked baggage fees. Hotel was beautiful and the swim party was enjoyable but the baggage check fee for the go pro was unreasonable in my opinion.
