JFKSolar Review of SMP Farms

I purchased two 3" October Glory Maple trees last year around October (2015). I picked them up from SMP farms, and planted both with in a day. The leaves were already turning, just like all the other trees in fall, and fell off. So far this year, there are already new buds all over them. They were planted promptly and properly by myself, and so far no issues. My soil is terrible- mostly clay after the first 2-5 inches of topsoil. The trees look great, but of course, the next year is important.
SMP farms had great help in the yard. They helped me load and gave me plenty of time to ask questions and get planting tips. The yard worker seemed to have better information than one of the landscapers I consulted. Overall, it was a great experience and I plan to get and plant more trees from them this spring.
Another reviewer didn't have a good experience, which upsets me. I don't care about her bushes dying, but please don't call the BBB over it. There are a lot of reasons why bushes die, but it may not be the nursery's fault.
All the complaining from customers toward nurseries, causes the nurseries to never again want to deal directly with customers. As a result they only deal with landscapers, and this prevents me, a non-landscaper, from getting quality trees. A few nurseries rudely hung up on me when I mentioned that I wasn't a landscaper. They didn't want to deal with me.
SMP still deals with non-landscapers like me, and saves the headache and unnecessary expense of a middle man landscaper. Thanks SMP. Hopefully, you won't change your policy after any more complaints.
