Worst experience ever!! I arrived at the ER at 10a...

Worst experience ever!! I arrived at the ER at 10am and was the 4th person there. I was sent here by my normal family doctor for an emergency ultrasound because I was having severe pelvic pain and was 5 days late. The front desk staff was nice, but didn t listen. I didn t get checked in until after 12pm. They requested a pee sample for a pregnancy test. However, I was told I am not allowed to drink or eat anything. Of course I asked why and there reasoning was because I might need an emergency surgery. If I was needing an emergency surgery why would I be waiting in the ER waiting room for hours on hours.....of course I gave them the sample and continued to wait in the ER waiting room. The waiting room continued to get more and more packed as the minutes and hours pass to the point it was a safety concern. Several hours later I get called back to get blood drawn and then was sent back to the waiting room. The sad part is that I had to log into my patient online portal to find my pee and blood test results. So I sadly knew my results way before seeing a doctor, which is extremely sad. Over 5 hours in the waiting room starving and dehydrated I am just now called to a room. By this time I was in 10X more pain than I was when I came in, which is unacceptable. Even though I was in a room I still wasn t seen for awhile by the doctor....whom finally realized I needed an ultrasound. He orders the ultrasound and tells me it was going to be several hours more until they make it to me. Which is unacceptable since I told them I needed an ultrasound now 6+ hours ago. Luckily the ultrasound tech didn t need hours and was able to take care of me fast. After that we played another bs waiting game waiting for the doctor with the results of everything. Finally 7+ hours later doctor comes back to give me an update with medical care plan and just tells me to take pain medications. This pissed me off that I spent over 7+ hours in the ER to be forced to starve, dehydrate, severe pain, etc.....just to be told to go home take Tylenol and ibuprofen. They wasted my time and money and I shouldn t have been required to pay for poor service. I finally got checked out of the ER after spending about 8 hours there, which is unacceptable in all means. I ended up going to my doctor as planned a few days later and still in severe pain. She decided it was not normal having all the symptoms I had and it was out of her scope. She did the right thing and got me in contact with an OB to get seen next month. I m 13 days late and counting, in severe pain, pregnancy symptoms, and negative pregnancy test. DO NOT GO TO THIS ER UNLESS YOU ARE TRULY DYING AND BLEEDING TO DEATH BECAUSE OTHERWISE YOU WONT GET SEEN.
