I usually love going here! I ve been going to magic wings since I was a child & now I take my child. It s such a beautiful & peaceful place. I usually have a wonderful experience when I go & the staff is always lovely. However, this past weekend I went with my family & it wasn t the greatest experience for us due to one employee by the name of Alicia. While there my family & I made our way threw the conservatory, while walking I noticed one of the beautiful tropical flowers they have there was laying on the walking path. I didn t want anyone to step on it, so I thought it would be harmless just to simply hold it while I was there. I had no intentions on taking it because I knew it most likely wouldn t survive out of the conservatory, plus it was just a little bud. While there I decided to sit on one of the many benches while my husband and son went to look at the fish. I see Alicia walk by then turn & look at me, as she approached me she was bent over looking into my hands. With an attitude Alicia asked me if the flower in my hands was from the conservatory, before I can say a word she snatched it from me stating ya are not allowed to pick the flowers to attract the butterflies . Before she walked away I tried to tell her I found it on the ground, but she clearly didn t care to let me speak since she walked away as soon as she could. Although I was very upset from that encounter I was not going to let her bad energy mess up my family day, until I found out that she did the same thing to my son !!!!! You can be rude to me all you like but DO NOT MESS WITH MY KID ! My son 8 year old who has ADD & ADHD loves going here, we try to take him once or twice a year since we don t live in the areas it s kind of special trip for us to drive. My son was with my husband walking the conservatory, when he came across flowers on the dirt that he thought where pretty and wanted to show me so he picked them up. I guess after Alicia was done being rude to me she crossed path with my family & did the same thing to my son, but once she snatched the flowers from his hands she proceeded to throw them on the grow in front of him ! He was so confused by the situation and upset! I talked my family down from being upset, so we could continue our day there. As we sat under the gazebo while my husband & I where speaking, my son again sees some flowers on the ground & decided to pick them up this time to move them to the dirt. As he s finding a place for them HERE COMES ALICIA, she approaches my son asked him what s in your hand as he tried to tell her what he was doing she cuts him off and takes them out of his hands and AGAIN IN FRONT OF HIM THROWS THEM ON THE FLOOR AS SHE WALKS AWAY. At this point my husband was enraged and instead of causing a scene or approaching her negatively I convinced him for us to go because that was not the place to create that kind of energy. Due to this experience I m not sure if my family will be returning, nor do I think I will be recommending to others to go because I wouldn t want my family & friends to go through this experience.
