I ve been to Pulcinella s on numerous occasions with family and company dinners. It was my friends 18th birthday and I recommended it to celebrate. I m not sure if it was because our party was a younger audience and our server was worried he wouldn t be tipped properly but our server was not very kind. I asked him if there was a complementary desert for birthday occasions and I was told that uh no we don t do that here. Which is fine. I understand that as Pulcinella s is a high class restaurant, but the reply made me feel dumb and quite embarrassed. He didn t really talk to us like we belonged there, it didn t feel like a welcoming environment from when we walked in until we paid our bills which is when our server was a bit kinder. Other servers were not kind to us either. It was unfortunate that the server who I ve had many times with groups or adults was not as kind to us as previous experiences. I thought the 10 of us were very polite and we were sure to be cautious of our loudness as we are aware of the treatment we get as we are kids. The food was delicious and it s always a treat to have. It s my favourite pizza in the city and was so excited to share the restaurant with my closest friends. They all said that their food was amazing and that they loved it. I just wish as well as the group of us, that the service had elevated our experience as it was a milestone for my best friend.
