This has possible been the most messed up situatio...

This has possible been the most messed up situation I ve ever been in with regards to moving. We rented a U-Haul from Atlanta to Alabama. Our journey was messed up from the start, beginning with us receiving a U-Haul that wasn t pre-assigned to us. Someone didn t like the truck assigned to them, and decided to just take the truck assigned to us. Because it was a self check in, they never had the documentation changed. When we got there, someone affiliated with the store gave us the keys to the other truck. We didn t think anything of it. Took our pictures of the truck and mileage of the truck we actually had and went on our way thinking this was enough proof.

A few days after we dropped our truck off, we get a call from a RepWest representative saying the U-Haul assigned to us was in an accident. THIS WAS THE U-HAUL WE NEVER HAD! After MULTIPLE CALLS with U-Haul, we finally got the correct documentation to show we had a different truck, however NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE or returns your messages from RepWest. I ve explained to countless people about the error with the U-Haul rental ad that the truck damaged was never in our possession, but we cannot get ahold of anyone from RepWest. All we get is calls about writing a statement. However, like I ve explained to them, WE NEVER HAD THIS TRUCK SO WE DEFINITELY DIDN T DAMAGE IT!

We ve now reached the point where they re sending us certified letters. If you can threaten us through the postal service THEN YOU HAVE TIME TO ANSWER A PHONE CALL!

Seriously, just avoid U-Haul and RepWest. It s not worth the aggravation.
