I had intended on using a large, nationwide mortgage company when purchasing a new home. After hearing several "horror" stories from others who had made that mistake, I decided to use my local bank. I am so glad that I did. Everything about my experience with Nancy Howley was great. From the first phone call to the closing at the lawyers office, she guided me every step of the way. There were no real estate agents involved in my purchase and the sellers were from out of state so it was a little more complicated than most. Being very inexperienced myself, I cannot begin to say how having someone like Nancy in my corner made the process much less stressful than it would have been. I would recommend Home State bank to anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home.
