I recently relocated to Miami from Broward County. I had to sell a single family home and coordinate the timing of the sale with the acquisition of a condominium in Miami. I required a space that would accommodate my two school age daughters and in a neighborhood that was reasonably conducive to raising children--no small task. My ask was further complicated because I have a professional lifestyle and a very busy calendar. It would be understating things to say that my time is scarce for coordinating a move. So I reached out through my network and, after also having a very positive experience, a close personal friend referred me to Sarah Deben.

My first impression of Sarah was that she was highly professional and very attentive to my needs and wants. She took stock of my situation and used the information to reduce what seemed like a broad range of possibilities into a targeted list of properties that met my needs and checked as many "want" boxes as possible. Appropriate properties were then provided to me throughout her representation. This degree of incisiveness and attentiveness immediately set her apart and in another class from other South Florida realtors I had dealt with.

I ultimately selected an area in Miami where I wanted to live but due to the complication of needing a single family home to sell prior to contracting in Miami, I had a couple of deals fall through. I would have expected any one of my prior realtors to either abandon my representation altogether or become so non-responsive that I would terminate the representation on my own. Not so with Sarah. Not only was she understanding of my need to time the transition, she offered valuable guidance on how best to approach the next deal in a manner that reduced my exposure to similar problems going forward. She reworked blown deals and did it all with grace, preserving a positive attitude geared toward getting me into the area where I wanted to land.

Sarah Deben is also reliable, consistent, and dependable. As a byproduct of deals falling through, I needed to look at many properties in the area I had chosen. In the past, I have had realtors send me to look at apartments on my own after they had put in a little effort to show me around the first day. Sarah repeatedly made herself broadly available at times that fit into my calendar in order to show me properties. She was prompt, organized, and and prepared to show me the properties that piqued my interest and also offer pros and cons with respect to other properties that were on my radar. There was not a single instance in the four months that I worked with her that I was blown off, stood up, or had a last-minute or no-notice cancellation. This, too, is an attribute that separates Sarah Deben from her peers.

I finally sold and closed my prior property and was prepared to contract in Miami. In short order, I had a preliminary agreement to contract on a condominium in the building of my preference. I had to leave town on business during the intermediate and final stages of the negotiations. Sarah conducted negotiations on my behalf, and kept me aware of eventualities, timing, and potential pitfalls throughout. Unbelievably, and as a result of the confidence I had gained in Sarah over the course of months, I lost track of where the contract talks were while I tended to my litigation calendar. Before i knew it, I was done.

I ultimately finalized the deal and moved in about a month ago. Sarah even recommended a reputable mover with which she maintains a positive working relationship. A good mover in Miami! It worked out perfectly and the new condo is a perfect match for me and mine.
