Wow. After only 3 days I am so pleasantly surprise...

Wow. After only 3 days I am so pleasantly surprised by the quality of this resort. My husband and I have been on several all inclusive vacations and for the first time decided to bring our children. I thought initially booking this resort we would have been "downgrading" in comparison to what we have booked in the past. I can't believe how very wrong I was. In fact, I feel as though I have grossly overpaid in the past. We are only 3 days in, at full capacity and I can say this resort is absolutely amazing. I really don't get the negative comments? The staff work so hard every day to make your trip memorable. We have personally spoke with the resort manager, Maria, who is always around ensuring her guests are experiencing exceptional sevice. I honestly can't tell you a negative comment for what a family resort should be. Our boys (8 & 6yrs) have been having the time of their lives. It's in their words.....better then Disney.
Tips:
1) I love Westjet. However a big fail in my mind is not having the option of staying on the Grand side of the resort. Book Air Transat and book that side. Rooms are incredible on the Grand side. However, let me be clear the club side is great. Rooms are just a bit more dated. They are clean which to me is a big win.
2) Get your towels out early. I'm talking like no later then 8am early. Which let's be honest after a few drinks the night before could be a bit painful ;)
3) Bring Bubba Mugs. Canadian travelers, grab at Canadian Tire. You can thank me later on this one.....
4) Book your restaurant reservations early. You can do it up to 7 days in advance. Be sure you get an email confirmation back. Or contact them to ensure you're booked. It's busy and in demand.
5) Time share stuff, no biggie. Tell them you're not interested and move on.
6) The different "status" level. Get over it. I have not at all been treated like I was a second class citizen. They pay for the extra services, good for them to get the perks! Buy in if you want it!

Staff shout outs to the bar staff, servers, bartender in the club lobby, entertainment staff, kids club staff, and Maria who keeps this resort functioning at a level you would see at any diamond/platinum level resort.

Traveling during one of the busiest weeks of the year is always a bit of a risk. This resort has proved it can easily accommodate the demand. Well done Marival staff!!!! We look forward to many more visits, most definitely we will be back.
