Review of Mercure Wessex Hotel

The location is great and staff were very helpful....

The location is great and staff were very helpful. The hotel is very dated but that wasn't an issue for us since the bed was comfy and the room was warm.

Cleanliness could be better, there was dried blood on our bathroom floor (I thought it was tile chips at first) and the toiletries had been opened and used so we needed to request more.

Additionally , we asked for no room service but still got fresh towels hung on our door everyday. Nice if you need them but not very environmentally friendly since we didn't want them and they'll still need to be washed.



Overall the hotel is worth staying in if all you need it for it somewhere convenient to crash in the evenings. Could be better, and cheaper considering, but it was a good stay.
