I worked for classic concierge many years ago on the weekends from 11 pm until 7 am. The job was decent but management and some of the staff sucked. I should have made this complaint along time ago but I guess its never to late. Now that I am older I know better and I know my rights. When I was working there I had an afro it wasn t unkempt it was actually tidy and kept. However a lady who had been working there for a while who I believed complained had locs down to her but I m guessing that that was professional. Any way I was let go from my position and told that if Michelle Obama didn t have an afro neither should I. I was furious about this incident but was young and did not care, but now that I am older I know that this situation was not right and I should have taken some type of action. But now I know better, and I proudly were my natural hair wherever I go! Little rant I did on social media about the incident (I don t understand how my manager tells me I can t come to work with my afro because it is unprofessional but it s ok for the lady (who reported me) to come to work with her locks pass her ass and for him to have a jerry curl!! Why didn t he tell her to straighten her hair too? I am African American and I love and embrace my black-ness you want me to slap a perm in my hair and straighten it for white America!! Then tell me if Michelle Obama doesn t wear it neither can I last time I checked my name was not the first lady of the US!!)
