DigitalCrafts was an overall great experience for me. I had Joe as my instructor and he did a great job at breaking down these complex topics into easy to understand bits. Just be warned the pace is very fast and you can easily get bogged down with the material if you don't put time outside of class. For people trying to decide if DigitalCrafts immersive program is a good fit for them, ask yourself these questions: Can you commit all your energy to strictly coding for 4 months straight? Are you willing to put in time outside of class to learn even more beyond the scope of the course? If the answer is no to either of these questions then consider enrolling part-time. Going through the program successfully and being one of the strongest students in my cohort, I'd like to leave some imparting wisdom to people considering this course. Do the pre-work and ask a lot of questions!! You're paying too much money to not be giving this 200% of your effort. Understand that these are complex topics and you will not learn this material overnight. My recommendation if you're serious about this would be to look up the curriculum prior to enrolling and take a few months to get a feel for some (not all) of the technologies being used. This will put you miles ahead of other students and will give you a solid foundation for setting up your coding environment, the fundamentals of programming, and realistic expectations coming into the program. All in all DigitalCrafts has a great reputation for good reason, the tools to succeed are there you just need to be willing to put in the work.
