James Wilson Review of Safebuilt

On Febuary 8th a vehicle crashed into the side of my house. My city, Edgewater, uses Safebuilt for building inspections and they were supposed to show up to inspect the house and determine that it was still safe to occupy. Instead, an inspector from the county showed up and did their job for them, finding the house safe to occupy. I would later be told by a city official that this was because they were unable to get in contact with Safebuilt when they needed to.
THREE DAYS LATER, Safebuilt shows up without making any attempt to contact me and posts the house as unsafe without doing an inspection (because I was not home). When I called to ask about what was going on, I spoke with Dan Wester. Mr. Wester blamed me for not being home for the unannounced visit, offered no explanation as to why they would not accept the original inspection, and then hung upon me. So I was evicted from my own home with no notice and without the ability to talk to the people who evicted me. There are other online reviews with the exact same complaint about Dan Wester: he hung up on me in a professional capacity. So this is a documented (albeit online) pattern of unprofessional behavior that is tolerated by his employer and in my case involved denying me access to my own home.
Later, I got my own inspection from a team of structural engineers and the house is indeed safe as was indicated by the original inspection. There was never any safety issue and I was made homeless without cause by Dan Wester's incompetence.
Please note that all of the 5-star reviews here have no explanation given. All of the negative reviews do. Yeah we've all seen this before.....
