I was admitted to Detroit Receiving Hospital (DMC)...

I was admitted to Detroit Receiving Hospital (DMC) early 6-22-2015. I arrived by EMS. My stay in the ER was barely attentive. My stretcher was between slots, so no privacy. Once admitted to the Floor at Receiving (5L room 07A) The nursing staff was polite especially (Jackie), however most where not complete in their work. They made multiple trips back to the room to complete simple tasks with long gaps. The housekeeping staff was non existence. From the time I occupied the room in the am on Monday to the day I was discharged the evening of 6-24-2015 the room was never cleaned, including the bathroom. The nursing support staff never brought any personal clean-up supplies until I requested them. The same for fresh gowns. To add to my dismay. I worked for the DMC for 18 years. I did not received a private room, and because I was brought by EMS I had no transportation. My discharge was sudden, thus causing me not to be able to arrange transportation. I received some Meds to take home, however, no syringes for the insulin! The hospital politely gave me a BUS TICKET!! I had them call the Nurse MGR (Pam Haddon) she showed up over 4 hrs later! This is very, very bad for a healthcare company or any organization where customer service should be TOP!, and understand the need for a clean environment & infection free atmosphere. I can be reach for comment and I can CLEAN THE PLACE UP!
