I have been wanting to get back into playing the cello for years now - I played for nearly 8 years, including 3 years in a Performing Arts Magnet program in high school. I quit playing for a number of reasons, but realized that I would not be happy with myself if I didn't at least try to play again. So this past Black Friday, I walked into Amro without an appointment or consultation, and walked out with a beautiful Catania cello set as well as everything I needed to get started. Nathan was extremely patient, understanding, and helpful, and didn't judge me (too much) when I tried to play a little (keeping in mind it has been more than 15 years since I've even touched an instrument). He even helped me find a good deal on a metronome/tuner, collapsible stand, and cello care kit. I love my instrument, and have already gained so much more confidence from playing almost every day these past two weeks. Thank you so much, Nathan and Amro, for helping me get back into playing!
