This is a terrific place to take the kids for free. (Donations are appreciated.) Located on the road to Lone Elk park, the World Bird Sanctuary is one of only a few locations that takes in and rehabilitates injured birds. There are hiking trails, bird enclosures, a playground, a gift shop, and a hospital for injured birds. The staff does storytelling, keeper talks, and shows where you can see some of the birds up close.
