This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Margaret B. and her team should be very proud of what she has done to this castle and grounds. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. We stayed in the stable and had a very comfortable room with shared bathrooms. You can pay extra for ensutie rooms in the lodge! We had dinner in the castle with fellow NZ'ers and overseas guests. it was a lovely meal and good company with a story to be told about the castle in between! Yes, we will be back to enjoy another anniversary there in the future! Well worth the money. And to you scoffers that comment about having to pay to see the gardens. Pay some more and enjoy a visit to the castle. There is a lot to learn! And we enjoyed the hard work that has gone into this garden!
