Haven t been to the tower since being a child on a school trip. It s a great site, steeped in history. Definitely recommend joining a Yeoman guided walk, they re entertaining and informative (my favourite part of the visit).

We went on a weekday, had to queue for 20min to see the Queens Jewels (interesting), all other sites on premises were queue free. Cafe could have a better ambiance and choice of food, felt like a school canteen.

You need a full day here if you really want to enjoy all the sites of the Tower of London. There are also lots of steps to climb in places, the easiest access was to see the Jewels (no steps).
