We leased and have repairs. The property manager, Shirley, says she is not the property manager, just a friend helping out the owners. She is listed as the property manager at this building and she represented herself as property manager. First: she was late to the final walk-through by 1/2 hour then had to leave early. Then she tells me to pay for all repairs and deduct from the lease payment, then I write to the owner about all this and now everything is getting taken care of. She yelled at me twice on the phone so I will not speak to her again. I work directly with owner and Condo Building maintenance. Horrible little girl, this Shirley. It gets worse. This unit is a converted one bedroom, which means they made a second "bedroom" out of the kitchen and moved the kitchen into the dining area. NO WINDOW.. In Florida, a bedroom must have a window to be considered a bedroom. This was marketed to us as a "Two" bedroom when it was actually a One bedroom with small extra room without a closet. We are moving and will turn this over to "legal" if necessary.
