What purpose does the profession of the notary even serve? Apparently I need an interpreter in my own "mother tongue" to sign a legal document; a language I haven't spoken in more than 10 years. Now I need to pay for 2 interpreters in two languages that we probably will understand worse than English. Absolutely ridiculous.
