Been waiting six hours now for an orthopedic surge...

Been waiting six hours now for an orthopedic surgeon to bother to stop by to see if my 84 yr old Dad can have a surgery to repair a fractured pelvis. I was told "they are independent contractors that have their own private practices and we have no idea when they will come" Really? So my Dad hasn't had any food or drink for 12 hours since he "may" have a surgery! Level one trauma center?! He is in critical care but isn't getting any!! This is just a way for them to keep him admitted to get money from his insurance!! Ridiculous!!
