We stayed here whilst the hotel was being refurbished, we were not informed of the work going on, we were charged for a four star hotel that was essentially a building site with a giant scaffold in the foyer. Having saved for some months for this visit we were obviously quite upset by this, we spoke to the staff who were kind enough to invite us to spend more money there. We emailed on more than one occasion to tell them that this wasn't acceptable, only to be ignored after another attempt to invite more custom. It's quite clear that once they have our money that we are worth little more than contempt, they are clearly aware that we have contacted them and trite platitudes of 'regret that we didn't enjoy our stay' simply fall short after being so grossly overcharged. We won't be returning, we advise that you don't visit either.
