Beautiful house. Front of house, however, has a strong whiff of bleach and all the atmosphere of a provincial railway station. When I went, the orchestra was having a sulk with management so the concert was performed in jeans etc. Nowhere else could this happen. Very swift interval with hardly enough time to get to the station buffet for a glass of wine for the price of a bottle and a snooty dismissal from the cashier. Cash is the key word here. Bizarrely, in Naples, payment by plastic is rarely possible; I wonder why...?
