The reason for this negative review is because of my recent experience at Humphreys. My wife and I have gone there many times over the last decade or so. We have stayed at the hotel, eaten at the restaurant, attended concerts, etc. I had my 40th, 41, and 42 birthdays there. My Doctoral graduation was celebrated there, and most recently I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday there. It was a disappointing visit there for many reasons, but what disappointed me more was the response of the manager (Dawn I believe) to my complaint. I was not asking for anything but true acknowledgment and to be open to the idea of fixing some things. Instead of listening to me, she just responded, and the response was insulting because I was not looking for a free dinner for two. Trying to pay someone off so they will shut up about legitimate concerns is insulting. I am not boycotting Humphrey s but I will be actively looking for other venues to celebrate important occasions because the current management does not care.
