Please read till the end for the update a few changes have occured but this was my experience....
If I could give this business minus stars I would. I highly do not recommend this business whatsoever!! I've been swindled
over $700 by the owner of Iguana Studio.
It's supposed to be a platinum studio. The owners name is Vic, he's a dishonest man in my opinion. I went there and recorded on two occasions for 3 hours I paid $254.25 for 3 hours then I paid 84.75 for one hour (btw he took $85 cash and sent me a receipt for $84.75). Next I paid $375.00 for mixing and mastering. All in less than two weeks of meeting him. He will give you the run around, then he would slap some unprofessional work together without any effort just so he can say he did it. This man has kept all my recordings and my mixing and mastering fee and refuses to send me my recordings. Prior to going to his studio we discussed the track being released for the summer. He promised he would return my mixing and mastering fee plus forward me my recordings in the late evening that day. When he didn't do it, I told him I would go public about it because I realized for a week he's been giving me the run-around. Now he's trying to force me to sign a waiver before returning my mixing and mastering fee even though he didn't do the job. He also has not forwarded my recordings. I have a record of all our correspondence from day 1 and receipts for all my payments I can verify this. He took all my money and all I have is prints of my recordings..In text message when I stated to him about the person on Google claiming he stole his $65 he answered "yes $65" to this..I have the text message....I kept asking him for the mix he pretended to send it to me by showing me a fake screen shot of his outbox and kept telling me to check my inbox he sent it. yet hours go by and no email shows up. When I looked carefully there was no attachment(paperclip) in the email screenshot. When I kept asking about my mix he kept providing excuses by telling me the studio isn't open on Sundays...I have the email... however On Google his business hours say 24hrs daily!
UPDATE: since seeing my posts on Facebook Vic has decided to forward my vocal recordings, however in an email to me he has made it clear that he will not be returning my $375 mixing and mastering fee.Even though he hasn't done the work. He says it's because i posted online about it.
