Didn't expect it to be so interesting! This was a really nice stop along the way, and I spent more time than I had planned, just walking, reading and "touristing". I had no idea Jefferson Davis was imprisoned here before my visit. And I only saw a small section of the fort. Would definitely suggest you plan to spend an entire day. Also, Oozlefinch is on the property, and it is excellent. As is The Deadrise - an excellent restaurant at the marina.
