Department stores, or stores in general are not what appeal to me, but I knew of the beautiful inside dome of the Galleries Lafayette. My idea of the galleries was that they were more as ateliers than shop stands, so getting there was very deal disappointing to me to know that it is basically a big and famous department store in Paris because it has all this brands. Not of fan of the consuming society, specially when we are talking about exuberant prices for things that are not even that beautiful some of them and products that are produced using animals and test on animals. The first floor floor, make up and jewelry, was packed of people which made the store incredibly warm and uncomfortable, so I took a photo of the dome, and some photos of the inside architecture, and went as soon as I could to the book shop and stationary part. What saves the visit is probably the 180 degrees view on the rooftop, where you can see some of the iconic monuments and building of Paris. For me the experience was not good, despite having a very good range of stationery and books on display, the lack of comfortability inside the store, especially on the ground and first floor is immense, not having much room to walk or even just move. I like to have some space to breath in a store. And the femme department doesn't offer that. The homme department is much nicer and calm, having more space to breath but much less things on display, and the brands there have a more beautiful product, clean and comfortable. However the inside of the store is not very appealing or unique, as it was with the femme department.
House and kitchen I just entered quickly but it looked more cleaned organised and more beautifully designed than the others.
But the overall, it just likes like an expensive shopping mall, that hasn't adapt its interior design, and has no unique.( just the dome area and the view)
